Nick Zoricic dies after an horrible crash

RIP. The video has been taken down now but it sounds as if he died due to poor course planning rather than skiing. All of these deaths certainly make me more nervous. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

To those talking about course design etc, agree in some parts however there is always course inspection and practice runs to familiarise with turns etc.

i knew nik personally and the fact that the video is/was up on youtube and being showed on news channels is absolutely disgusting! please show some respect for his family!

that course should never have been signed off on because of the lack of spill zone going off that jump. freak accident or not, there needs to be full investigation into that track and the TD has a hell of alot of explaining to do.
 
The video is off youtube. Never got to see it but thats okay i dont think his family would want it to be up anyway. RIP
 
not a bad news report giving many different viewpoints on both skiing and snowboarding. it was very well put together.

working in the media myself, i don't usually comment on this sort of stuff, but USA Today Columnist, Christine Brennan says "He just lost control and flew far off the course..."

Though in the air, he looks very composed and set to stick a four point landing - had there not been death cookies and a bloody fence there!

A horrifically tragic loss, but Christine Brennan (whatever expertise you might have on the matter), don't go calling him out for "losing control!"
