Nick Martini no longer on Salomon skis?

Henrick wasn't on salomon and i dont think B-Paul was either but salomon does seem to be dropping freestyle skiers left and right.

henrik and bdog are only popular in a small niche of the market salomon is interested in. They are trying to get all the kids who will watch the x-games and olympics and then want whatever skis Bobby Brown was wearing.

suspect are still shitty ski IMO

armada made some real good move with a stacked team like fulltilt.

I don't care what salmon says, it seems like theyre dropping all the park guys. Unless they plan on taking every young gun they can find and turning them into superstars. They'd do that, what else would be the reason for jib acadamey?

well it's because Salomon is starting to dismiss it's freestyle department.

theyre going to stop making freestyle gear and such.

that's what i've heard

I don't think he ever was on their website. A lot of their riders aren't on the website (Matt Walker, Bergeron, etc.). I doubt Salomon would drop him. He's a hell of a rider and I also don't believe he would leave them.

I tried them and they are one of the best park ski i ever tried, i dont own a pair so i cant speak for the durability. Btw i dont think they will stop making freeskiing gear, maube they will do like H/H and drop their team.

seems like the only non powder skier left is bobby. and they make about 10 different pow/ all mtn skis and only 2 park skis next year it might just be suspects i bet they will get rid of the pro pipes no one has them and simon isnot on salomon anymore so no one to rep them

James Woods the British skier who's been doing pretty well has moved away from Salomon outerwear and has now signed with Quiksilver!

parkwise theyve still got bobby, sammy c, Aj Kempwhatever, and alexis godbout. so yeah, they're streamlining down to just podium athletes

I believe that Salomon is moving away from the freeskiing scene alltogether.I think this is a MASSIVE miss-step on their part ( especialy with the Olympics coming into the picture).

It seems like they are doing a big push towards backcountry/ski touring. I think this is going to be terrible for them since there are so many companies ou there that have a head start on this part of the world. ( ie K2, Dynastar, Rossignol, Black Diamond, etc)

It feels exactly like what Helly Hansen did with their freestyle line a few years back, and honestly they lost a MASSIVE market share ( they are still trying to compete with brands like Arcteryx, Mountain Hardware, Patagonia, etc.) they never really recovered.

its true, I heard al kaida got the osama pro molds from oakley's super secret ski division and they are releasing them exclusively to martini as a pro model type deal. I CANT WAIT!!!!

they're popular because of the athletes that use them. not to mention they always have dope graphics. I think most of the pros use pro pipes anyways, not suspects

This as well as they're super sick skis! From what I've heard you couldn't ask for anything more. Only problem is they last for about a week.

whoa whoa whoa you never skid on them but you say they are "shit"? this is my second season on my suspects and all i do is ski park. and you want to hear something funny? my edges are still in tact. hmmmm thats wierd. i like my suspects better than the line anthems i had before. hate all you want but suspects are definitely not as bad as people say they are.

True this. Dont know if you guys actually know this but their edges are reinforced so the DONT blow out of the ski. Its my 2nd year riding them and they are so good I couldn't compare. Except for the arm's i had........ they were soooo sick

I ski pretty hard. top sheet is iffy but the edges are still in there. funny story yesterday at crested butte first run did a fs 270 and landed front seat and popped out and broke my collar bone. thats fine.

b paul was on for skis im positive but he was on oakley for outerwear idk what he was for boots/bindings.
