Nicaragua

I am planning a trip to nicaragua. my goal is to stay there for as long as possible. anyone have any advice? I am planning on either a 10 dollar a night dorm or camping. and the main activities will be surfing and smoking weed

Camping would be sketchy. You gotta understand that nicaragua is extremely poor. You'll want a securely locking door at night, trust me on this, to protect you from thieves and the hordes of starving dogs. On the plus side though, a little goes a long way and it doesn't take much cash to live in luxury there.

you can get so much weed for 10 dollars in south/central america/ the carribean

just pack $1000 and youll be fine for a long time. and yea you wanna stay away from the camping idea

ive been to nicaragua twice, each time to build houses, the second i surfed for 4 days after, dont remember where, wasnt the best surf of my life, but it was fun. Dont camp, although many nicaraguans are very nice people, its a sketchy country shits pretty fucked up. Just get a hotel room, they are cheacp and worth it

you pay to camp, its legit. its a hostel and not in a touristy area. my step-brother recommended it. 5 bucks a night to camp, 10 a night for dorms. I'll camp for as long as I feel like, and dorm it up when I get tired of it.

mainly I am interested in where to go, what sites to see. the surf is good where I'm staying

go to san juan del sur. i went there its one of the pretty places ive been in my life. from there you can take a water taxi to a bunch of really awesome beaches. do you speak spanish? cuz if you dont it could be tricky for sure.

i also went to managua which is more mainland but it is incredibly pretty. around there, there are valcanos filled in with water which you can swim in and are incredible.

that sounds fucking awesome. thats why I love central/south america. and I do speak spanish, I am not fluent but I can definitely get by. but my friend is a spanish major so I'll be fine anyways.

I'll be flying in to managua so I figure I will check shit out while I am there
