Nhl playoffs

Same... why can't they tell what's WRONG here? It's not that difficult. The oilers' puck pressure system is easy to pick apart, but instead they play right into it.

Montrela Canadiens, but after not calling a penalty to an abviously slash to Saku Koivu's face(near the eye area) then justin wiliams goes and does it again, this time to Markov, it wasnt as bad because the shaft hit him in the face, but fuck, what the hell are the ref in montreal doing the the home team??

Damn, but now im doubt the canadiens can win because they lost therei captain.

Long rant short, i want the canadiens to win

Im in a playoff pool and I have Detroit and Buffalo to take the cup. Though I actually want Calgary to take it. But in reality I think New Jersey may have the best shot to take it down after their 15 straight wins :| So I don't know who to cheer for.

Sens unnnhhh. Round 2.

Ray Emery unnhh. He'll be the NHL's biggest celebrity in a year or two.

Yessah he's showing a lot of skill and just raw talent for a back up goalie. And I like his attitude.

Go sens!

Ray Sucks, its the team thats good.. any golie can put up sick stats with ottawas team infront of them..

the goalie for theCanadians Mr.Huet (also a back up, only getting 450 000 a year) is the shit, He faces 30+ shots every game and still keeps the habs in it!!!

Here's what Ray Emery faced in terms of shots.

Game 1: 36

Game 2: 36

Game 3: 39

Game 4: 32

Game 5: 28

That's an average of 34.2 shots a game.

And while you're right in the sense that any goaltender can put up stats with Ottawa in front of them, as seen with Patrick Lalime... Ray Emery is something else. He's the biggest G this league's ever seen. You'll know what I mean when you see shots of him pregame, walking into the arena with his white pinstripe suits rocking giant headphones. Unnh.

Go habs go, though they'll prolly lose cause of fucking mister Williams who hurts the captain's eye (no penalty), then next game high stick to a good defense (no penalty) and on that game he had 1 goal 2 assists. damn i hate him, he could have been suspended for the thing he did on koivu....

anyway now i still have a tiny bit of hope for the habs, but they're in deep shit

as long as it's goes to canada...but i'd love to see 2 canadian teams in the finals...and ottawa or edmonton to take it.

the stats are a little misleading. detroits division had st louis, chicago and columbus. edmontons is the probably the best and most competitive in the league.

and whoever thought justin williams shouldve been suspended is an idiot. unfortunate the refs didnt catch at least one of the incidents because, accident or not, he deserved a penatly. he looked pretty apologetic after he hit koivu. hes not a dirty player, he just needs to control his stick

San Jose all the way homies.

Tomorrow is what will make the whole thing interesting. Calgary cannot seem to score because Iginla is pretty much the only scoring threat and he is pressured hard every game and Anaheim is no pushover of a team, obviously, as they were going into the playoffs with quite a bit of momentum. If Anaheim wins, it means that the top 4 seeds in the western conference will be out, while if Carolina and Buffalo win, it will mean all the top seeds in the east will move on. Based on what has happened already, here are my predictions from the 2nd round till the end.

SJ-4

Col-2 SJ-4

SJ-?

Edm-4 Edm-1

Cal-3

SJ?

Ott-?

Buf-? Buf-?

Buf-?

NJ-4 NJ-?

Car-1

I can see San Jose in the NHL finals for sure.

They are Loaded... Solid Defense, 2 goaltenders who could start on any team out there: Nabokov and Toskala.. the likely MVP and Points leader: Thornton and the Goals leader: Cheechoo. Not to mention, Patrick Marleau is a savage who plays 2nd scoring line yet still owns bigtime and can throw up points like no tomorrow. Plus they have outright won what.. 12 of their last 14?

They are either hot, or they are freakin hot...

They can knock out any of the remaining western teams no problem... that first scoring line is sooooolid. No other team in the west has been able to outright stop them exept for Detroit and Dallas, and both of those guys have been knocked out by teams that San Jose has been able to beat this year: Edm, and Colo.

Buffalo and New Jersey will move on. I can see Buffalo being a big upset on Ottawa, not because I just want to see it happen, but because Buffalo is pretty powerful right now.

I cant tell who will win.. NJ or Buff. Both are so good. I'm going to just say buffalo because an Upset would be nice. Either way, the eastern finals will be between Ott, Buff, and NJ without a question. I just cant see Carolina moving on against new Jersey in Round two.. especially with out NJ killed NY.

I just am going to say it will be San Jose vs. Buffalo in the finals. I would love to have San Jose win it, but hockey is as predictable as the weather...

I have high hopes for my Sharks though... They havent won a cup yet... and they have been around since 1991.. its about time.

Then again.. the Sabers havent won it as far as I can remember, the hurricanes used to be in Hartford, and as a franchise they certainly havent won it.. and Ottawa hasnt won it in ages.

I just want to see someone other than Edmonton, Montreal, or New Jersey take the cup. New Jersey seems to be the only one that has the outright potential to win it. Lets hope for a San Jose v. Buffalo finals. That would surely be fun wouldnt it?

:D
