why do people hate on crosby so much?

just because hes top rated?

the kid is only 19 and is already top of the league for scoring. He carrys himself with poise and is a great leader soild all around too
 
Yes... clearly he's over rated. A second-year player with 117 points, and beating a 27 year old NHL veteran by 8 points in the scoring race. And calling him a whiny bitch? I think you'd be a bitch too if you were getting sticks and elbows in the face every night. Other guys cant play up to his level so they try to beat his ass. But the penguins took care of that. They brouht in Laraque and Orpik has been stepping it up on defense for the penguins and leads the team in hits.

You must be an idiot. The Thrashers play in the second worst division in hockey. Right behind the West-Central. It sickens me that Atlanta is going to get the number 3 spot in the East when Ottawa and the Penguins have almost 10 more points than them. And the Rangers have 2 less points, and they're currently in the #6 spot.

Atlanta is not going to win the cup period. Look for the Ducks, Sens, or Pens to win this year.

 
I don't get to see the Pens very often, but watching the Pit-Tor game on saturday, if they get goaltending this thing's over.

I've been calling Detroit since game 1. But then I always do that.

The Canucks will play either San Jose or Dallas and will have a hell of a time getting out of the first round.

Detroit will have their hands full with Calgary with Kipper playing like it's 2004... unless they overtake Minnie, in which case Detroit gets a cake walk. Coaching can't save that team, they're playing terribly.

Even if Minnie does hold on to 7th, they'll lose to the Ducks, who have better goaltending and better defense, and a pretty punishing style of play that I don't believe Demitra and Gaborik can deal with.

Whoever Nashville gets at the #5 slot they should be able to beat without too many problems. They match up well against the Sharks' thin blue line, and Dallas just has a tendency to choke against teams that aren't Edmonton.

I'd like to be able to talk about the east, but I have no friggin' clue who'll be in it. So I guess for now, predictions there should be made on the standings...

6 Rangers have stepped it right the fuck up. They'll probably lose in round 1, but I wouldn't be surprised if they won their last 3 games.

7 T-bay is definitely going out, probably in a sweep, but Vinne Brad and Marty should get them in.

8 Toronto actually could threaten Buffalo right now with how they're playing at home, Raycroft is playing out of his mind. If they can't score, though, they're screwed. Still they'll make it, just based on momentum recently.
 
people hate crosby cus his rookie season when he had already established himself as the whiner. all he did was complain and bitch about non-calls and such. now that he has quit that shit, i think most people love him.

I dont mind a good player, but I cant stand the star players that complain and complain and complain. I mean get over it. And to the person who says he doesnt dive. He fell to the floor as if simon had hit him with hsi stick. when lapiere pushed him.

And to the person who said the west was better than the east? globally the east is stronger, Yes we do have some terrible teams, but the west does too.

The Sabres or the Devils will win.

And maybe the canuck

FLeury is not going to be an amazing goaltender in the playoffs and well Thibault Is an excuse for a goalrtender
 
Detroit vs. New Jersey in the finals. Detroit will be the winner. Brodeur will carry the Devils through the playoffs, no goalie is better, but the Wings DO have the depth and definitely have the experience, probably more so then any other team, to win the Cup. The one problem facing the Wings will be the first round, because everyone knows that first round is the Achilles heal for the Wings. If they get over the challenge of the first round, the Cup is theirs.

It's really unfortunate that the West is so much stronger then the East, what the NHL should do, since the West is consistently better then the East overall, they should just take the top 16 teams in the league and have 1 play 16, 2 play 15 and so on.

Or two brackets could be created, one with 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 and the other with 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16. And in those brackets the top ranked plays bottom and so on. That would get rid of the void between the East and West and I think create a more exciting playoff.
 
I think it's funny that everyone is dissing crosby when they can't play hockey for shit. He's so young and so talented and WE HAVE HIM ON OUR TEAM. So fuckin suck it up and deal with your loss to the penguins.
 
don't forget how well the senators are playing as they near the playoffs, especially given their horrendous start to the season. it wasn't until december that they were even a .500 team, and they're 6 points removed from tops in the nhl today. they have proven that they can beat buffalo this year after taking the season series, and games remaining against new jersey and pittsburgh will definitely prove to be a real indication of how strong they are coming into the post season.

that being said, the penguins will be the other team to watch in the east.

out in the west, i like detroit and vancouver.
 
Crosby is unreal he has everything that cannot be taught in hockey and thats what will make him the greatest player to step on the ice. With that said, I don't think that this is his year, he will win many Cups, but not yet.

I also love Crosby because he isn't a pussy like Gretzky, he isn't afraid to go into the corners and scrap.
 
like i said earlier, buffalo is too deep. new jersey could have some trouble with the coaching situation, eventhough they won last time they did the same thing. i dont think nashville has the power, they are like this every year. maybe detroit from the west
 
I'm hoping Burnaby Joe's amazing play of late pays off in the form of a playoff birth... but to call the Avalanche making the playoffs is another story entirely.

The rangers swept the thrashers. The thrashers play in 2nd shittiest division in hockey and no way should've made that damn #3 spot. If I were teams I would've been playing just so I could've got the #6 in the east, just to play them.

Damn the rangers were lucky bastards.
