NH ski industry intern needed this winter!

I'm the Marketing Director at Ski New Hampshire and am looking to get an intern for this fall/winter. Ideal for someone looking to get into the business after school/college, just graduated etc. I need to get a MySpace page rolling, stuff on youtube, etc etc. You'd be in charge of building/maintaining that stuff and any other park related stuff you want to work into it. Really wouldn't be that many hours, and the perks would be damn good for an unpaid position.

Also, we hire a seasonal person too, so I could give you the details on that if you wanted a part-time winter job that would give you some good experience and get to meet alot of people at NH ski areas, get your foot in the door, etc. That job includes snow reporting and other random office stuff. It would be about 4 days and 20 hours/week.

If you have any interest just drop me an email. I wanted to check here first and try to get someone who actually cares about skiing....thanks!

"you don't want a myspace page, thats so 2004"

Hahh yup that's why I'm recruiting someone here to get stuff out in any/all of the newer sites, my hands are full.

I still have early issues of Freeze on my crapper...I'm getting old need some young blood on board....

I mean this in the nicest way possible..

..you're entertaining a professional position in response to a job posting and your signature says, "FUCK YOU NIGGA" in the first line.

A note for anyone job searching, what you do on the internet matters and will matter well into the future.

Professional Eh?

That is a quote from a movie. This is a forum, so I put down some quotes that i think are funny. And its not like this is a interview or anytihng this is where he is asking for people to look into, and all i said is that it might be interesting. So if the person looking for the intern is really offended, or disregurads me for a quote in a public forum then I don't think I would want to work for them anyways.

But thank you for the heads up, Ive been working in a lawyers office for 4 years almost now, so I really dont think a QUOTE from a movie will not get me a job.

sounds like a good opportunity. that would be pretty hard to have a no paying job though, especially in winter

I just wanted to say that even though this position is not paying it could be well worth your time in the long run especially for someone that wants to work in the ski industry one day. Just getting you foot in the door contacts etc. is important especially if you're in college/ high school. I really wish I had done something along these lines. I have a goog job now which pays the bills but I really don't like what I do. I think about skiing everyday which I'm sure most of you in here do and to work in the ski industry would be a dream come true. Anyway if what you love to do is your job then starting out working for a winter without much pay is a small price to pay for a rewarding career.

Yah good opportunity. My advice to anyone interested, don't chit chat about it here. Email or call him and offer to do whatever it takes.

BTW...Olerud. We need to play some round ball. I require revenge. Maybe at MS in August??

DJAK, yeah I'm heading to MS...I'll work you, no problem, done hahhh. I'm only doing Saturday night i think. Touch base.

And to a few of the posts, yeah you're not doing this for the money if you just do the intern part, it's to ski a ton, bus tables or something too for extra $$, make connections, build your resume, and decide if you want to be in the ski industry.

Bump...anyone...anyone?

Would love to get this rolling soon if anyone wants some experience etc....great resume stuff and perks...

no moolah....perks...unless you work the part time job too then $.

You do get a season pass to all of NH, etc. Kind of hoping for someone who loves skiing and wants to get a foot in the door and resume builder...if not I can make it work other ways.

Just giving newschoolers members a heads up in case it's a fit for someone.

wow this sounds like a sick way to get into the local ski industry... i'd take this offer up but im only 15... i'll call you in a few yrs

One year too soon. Good luck finding the help.

BTW, this is an internship, not a career. Internships are meant to develop skills, and get your foot in the door to places and to start networking.

word, what a bunch of haters. I wouldn't want to work for free for a company that cared if I had some cuss words in my online forum signature
