I'm actually surprised there hasn't been a thread on this yet, but Sean Taylor of the Washington Redskins was shot and killed in his home Monday morning. He was transported to the hospital and underwent surgery for a severed artery. After the surgery things seemed to be going well, but he soon died of complications Tuesday morning.

Sad story, my prayers are with his family, especially his fiancee and 1-year-old daughter. The NFL should dedicate all of the next week's games to him, even if he was a troubled player and a nuisance to the league during his four years.
 
his h.s. coach was just interviewed and he said sean taylor was a really humble guy that everyone looked up to and respected for his embracing personality. Sounds like a really respectable guy that made it large and lost his life because of others peoples greed. Pretty sad stuff.

Also to add, I heard that when his girlfriend went to call 911 the phone lines were cut so they couldn't call with any of the phones. Sounds like something unreal. My thoughts and prayers go out to him!
 
i wouldn't call it shot to death because he suffered for a long time being in a coma and what not. such a sad story. he was also a pro bowl player that made a name for himself, not just some random sideline backup (which would still be sad too). how can they practice today or tomorrow? and play a game on sunday? thats terrible
 
its unreal man. he was one of the hardest hitting most enthusiastic players ever. He will be missed an the skins d will never be the same.
 
dont be fooled this was not some random act of viloence, whoever it was, was def after his ass, they cut the phone lines, broke into his house weeks before. and shot him in the groin, that is not a kill shot that is a shot to make a statement (just so happened that it hit an artery.) but he was def into some shit he shouldnt of been and got killed for it. sucks to be him.
 
Has anyone been apprehended? Do they know who did it, or do they have any suspects? sad story....prayers.
 
don't make statements like that you d-bag. A week prior someone broke into his place and stole things... it's probably some psycho that knew he was rich and in the heat of the moment. Don't be so fucking presumptuous
 
that kid never specified if he went to a private or public school. I went to a private Catholic school from Kindergarten to 8th grade, and we prayed after class now that I think about it. Right before we all went home, everyone would say something they want to pray for.

word, any home invader with any sense cuts phone lines. And then to break in and shoot him in the leg? doubt it was a hit bud. a statement maybe but a hit, no way.

doesn't matter if you're mixed up with bad shit, he was noted as a respectable player, potentially changing his life through football. death is never something you do to someone, unless its like hitler or something. prayers go out to his family.
 
i was just surprised that the he said he was praying in school, and he got me a little heated, i apologize. and sorry i didnt know that he went to a private school, im not a fucking mind reader.

it is sean taylor, he is an amazing player but he definitly is a thug. he faced gun charges about 2 years ago. i dont know what happened but i think it was somehting sketchy, he did have a knife next to his bed

He had a gf and a small kid. You don't have to be all endearing and

upset over it, but don't come in here talking shit about how much you

hate it when other people show some sadness over someone who died and

left a baby and girlfriend behind. If you have an issue because he may have

been involved in some shit in the past, so be it, but shut the fuck up

about it. You know nothing about what he actually did in his life, if

he was really involved in tons of shady shit that in someway would

justify his death, or whether or not this was a set hit meant to send a

message. That is all speculation, something that is far to prevalent

on here and all over the internet. Nothing to be done about that, but

what good does it really do to come in here talking like you don't give

a shit that someone died? I don't see any...

Maybe he was involved in some shady shit and paid the price. Maybe not. Do you know for sure, without question, what happened? I don't, so I am not going to speculate on something I know so little about.

Until they actually determine what happened, all that matters is that a

great and humble athlete, according to the people who actually knew him

as opposed to those who aret forming opinions based off of what they

read on CNN and wikipedia, was shot in his own home and died. That is

it. Maybe he was a cocky gang banger, maybe he was someone who came from a shady past but has tried to better himself. Either way, he is dead and I personally don't like to see people die and families ripped apart, even if those involved are not up to your standards of what makes a quality human being. If you could careless about him being dead, sweet, but posting it is dumb. There are tons of other threads for you to

yeah and he only got shot in the leg at his house it wasnt like he was on the streets...it was a break in
 
Man that was pretty shitty. I feel for that guy. i herd his house got invaded and then he got shot while trying to defend his kids or something like that correct me if im wrong.

im from DC so besides the pats, the redskins were like my team. everyone here is mourning it so much cuz he was taking a big step foward in regards to maturing and being a better person on and off the field and got cut down in his prime.

he was such a big part of the team and it whomps to see someone go at 24.
