rosters announced today. theyre retarded

http://www.nfl.com/probowl/story?id=09000d5d80d60467&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true

brett favre getting in is such bull. philip rivers and matt cassel were def better. reggie wayne over randy moss is also bull. randy has 10 td compared to 5 for reggie....

calvin johnson not getting in is also bull.

same with deangelo williams not getting in. hes def having a better season than clinton portis. he has 5.5 yds a rush compared to 4.6 for portis.... and 14 td compared to portis' 7

how the mother fuck did ronnie brown get in? he sucks compared to steve slaton

matt cassel: 3270 yds, 18 td, 11 int, 87.1 rate

brett favre: 3052 yds, 21 td, 17 int. thats more than an int per game. 86.5 rate

not to mention the story that numbers dont tell. cassel had to fill in tom brady's shoes on a devastated team. favre had to fill in CHAD PENNINGTON's shoes on an eagar to win team....

Walter Jones FTW!

Side Note: NS sucks a fat one, cause everytime i try to reply to a thread, the cursor doesn't show up in the reply box, so I can't type anything, and it doesn't matter how many times I click in the box, it doesn't show up, and I have to hit refresh like 50 times.

sounds like your whineing cause your patriots players didnt get in, matt casel does not deserve to be in the pro bowl, just because he plays on a good team doesnt make him a good player. and on another note, i know he threw bak to bak 400 yard games but what defenses were they against, shitty ones. then they go and play the steelers and get completly raped. your only good if you play good against good teams which he doesnt.

correct.
congrats to eli, ohara, tuck, SNEEEEE, and both the old ass kickers feagles and carney! WOOT GO BLUE

Matt Cassel is a horrible leader for that team. It doesn't matter what shoes he had to fill, you have to be an asset to a team to be a Pro bowler. If I was Brady's backup, I would have had big shoes to fill too. I would also be useless as the Pat's QB.

Calvin Johnson not in? Bull shit. They must have forgot about detroit. How did Welker get in over Moss? I know he catches 10 balls a game but thats pretty easy when everyone else is covering the other wide out. And Pennington should have made it over favre.

Haha I presume that was a joke, but he wasn't having a pro bowl season anyway. (says the Giants fan)

the pats are a throwing team faggot and the conditions were horrible.. pouring rain sloppy field combined with the best defense in the NFL. they play in good conditions matt cassell will pick them apart. respect to steelers for taking advantage of the conditions.

How did Leodis McKelvin NOT get in? the guy is a total force on KR, he can take it to the house on any given play... look at his stats ffs.

Jason Peters is a bum and should go to fucking training camp, he does not deserve to be in the pro bowl. IMO he has not been the Bills best o-lineman this year, Derrick Dockery and Langston Walker both outplayed him (although I must admit Peters has been playing quite well these past few games).

are you fucking retarded? the whole point of filling in brady's shoes is that he has done a great job of it. hes clearly not a useless qb seeing as how we are 9-5, we should be 10-4 if jabar gaffney could catch a perfectly thrown td pass. he has better numbers than brett favre. tell me in what way brett favre has been better this year. if you take out his game against the cardinals, hes thrown more ints than tds...

Well, I didn't ever say anything about Farve...but if you want to go there we could point out that Farve has taken the Jets to the top of the division and Cassell has led the Pats trying to make the playoffs. Stats don't mean shit (neither does the Pro Bowl for that matter). Have you ever played football? Because you really don't sound like you know what you are talking about. Anyone who plays understands how a leader can change the way the whole team plays, and obviously Cassell is not an asset. You sound like a Sunday student of Sportscenter or Fantasy Football, not a football player.

the fan vote is bull shit...its why the all-star game is ruined for ever because of the fan vote...no little teams get a chance, fuck the yankees, dodgers, cubs, braves, angles, mets, red sox, its so stupid big market teams are bull shit...

but this is football...and i've never watched a probowl not for more than a quarter atleast...but go NFC...the AFC bllloooooowwwsssss...though maybe the vikings can be a cinderella team in the playoffs...

but for the super bowl...i'm going to call Cowboys vs. Colts

PATRICK WILLIS OF THE 49ers IS A FUCKING BEAST!! 2 YEARS IN LEAGUE.....1 TACKLING TITLE, DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF YEAR, 2 PRO BOWLS, AND IS CURRENTLY THIRD IN LEAGUE IN TACKLES THIS YEAR! BEAST

your just making excuses, a team with a so called pro bowl quarterback should put up more than 10 points in bad conditions at home. The first touchdown was a given anyways because we fumbled on the 15. Also good teams should play well in any condition. the steelers also didn't take advantage of the conditions they were obviously a better, stronger, and the superior team. they would have beat the pats in any condition that team. the steelers won because they played well.

Gonna throw this one out there: Cassel should never have made it to the pro bowl anyway. Not saying favre should have. Rivers should be the starting qb for the afc.
Dont give me this bullshit how the pats are a devistated team just because brady is out...they made it to the superbowl last season...i know your trying to forget that they fucked their perfect season. Boo-fuckin-hoo.
not to mention the probowl is always a joke, get over it.

FUCK THE PATS!!

right, cause devastating injuries are a real morale booster for a team. anyone else but the pats would have crumbled in that situation. taking out the best player in the nfl (arguably), and putting in a backup. then having the backup lead them to 10-5, AHEAD of the jets now. takes no leadership at all, especially with half a defense too and a depleted running game. but your right, that doesnt take leadership. leading an improved jets team takes leadership, with new guys like kris jenkins, alan faneca, a team with boosted confidence from offseason acquisitions. THAT, takes leadership.

and no i havent played football, but i have played other sports, and i know what im talking about

Sorry but Tom Brady isn't/wasn't/never will be, the best player in the NFL. Any qb could step into that system and put up numbers, especially with the talent at WR and the offensive scheme.

which is what makes him good... bill belichick makes him good. hows tony romo doing with TO and roy williams? or kurt warner with larry and anquan? oh yeah, not nearly as well. no doubt tom brady is one of the best players in the league. from his awareness to accuracy to power, hes at the top

haha, this made me lol because its true. don't forget madden

either way i'm pretty sure cassel couldn't give a fuck about not going to the probowl because hes gonna make so much money next year as a starting QB.

and bravo to the jets for choking.

the fuck are you talking about? i dont base my opinions off of madden at all. and the only person ive seen on sportscenter/ nfl live mention cassel is trey wingo. and no one on there has mentioned moss or deangelo williams. i dont base my opinions off of SC, i just agree with them most of the time. and seeing as how all the nfl experts are ex players/coaches.... im pretty sure they know what theyre talking about

I dont know what you are watching but Kurt Warner is doing amazing as far as stats are concerned. He has a higher qb rating than fucking cassel and has 26 tds. Not to mention romo has a higher qb rating and more tds than cassel. Not to mention a higher completion percentage. Know the facts before you speak child. Both Romo and Warner are doing very well statistically.
Next time you make a post know the numbers bitch.

Not that we were talking about cassel in the first place, but my main point is that Romo and Warner lead the NFC with qb stats and are about the 2 and 4 in the NFL statistically.

no...Tom Brady is great...i hate him but he is great...you still have to be able to make the play...so you are telling me that...Jamarcus Russel could do it? or Tim Couch (haha) or Brooks Bollinger...i highly doubt it...you still have to be a play maker...take the cowboys for an example with tony romo Qb'in they are a fantastic offense...but when brad johnson steps in he can't do shit...

tom brady is a great qb, and i will say it again i hate the guy ha.

there is no question that TB is a great QB, but when you play for the New England Patriots and are surrounded by soooo much talent on offense, and you have a ridiculous defense to back you up, it sure makes things easier.

Yeah I know, Russel couldn't do it, Bollinger couldn't do it, Cassel couldn't do it......oh wait.

Its kinda bitter sweet that the pats are doing so well this year because it kind of proves my point that Tom Brady is overrated, seeing that joe shmo could step into the offense and win. Ironically, everybody is twisting it into believing that Cassel is some type of godsend, i really never saw that coming.

next time you make a post know what the fuck im talking about bitch. youre retarded. i wasnt talking about cassel. im talking about brady with talent, then kurt warner and tony romo with talent. id take larry and anquan are equally good as randy and wes, but tom put up much better numbers. almost twice the tds. i know romo should have been in the probowl. i think i mentioned that. hes a giant beast and so is warner. im glad warner is starting for the nfc. i know theyre doing well. youre retarded. i wasnt comparing cassel with them. i was comparing brady with them.

and for all you dumb fucks complaining about talent, where was the talent for brady before 2007? the best reciever he ever had was deion branch with like 989 or 998 or something yds in a season. that was the best he EVER had, before 2007. so shut the fuck up, he won 3 superbowls with a very average if not worse receiving corps. and in 2006, the best wr was reche caldwell, and our defense blew it to get into another superbowl.

Guess you just blew past my second post ass clown.
No one is complaining about talent, they are making the argument that brady wouldnt have done what he did last year without it. Look at the numbers before moss came along. One man doesnt win a superbowl so dont say the only reason the pats ever won a bowl was because of brady. Dumb shit. YOU are the fucking retard. In the years before moss he ranked around the 10th overall in the league as qb.
Dont try and make it all about semantics.

everyone is arguing that brady doesnt have special talent. theyre saying that any qb in the league could have randy and wes and put up those numbers. oh yeah? where are kurts numbers? or tonys? why all of a sudden did randy moss have his best season ever as a wr? couldnt have been tom brady....

i know one man doesnt win superbowls. but he leads them to win. hes a born leader, and did what was needed to win. dipshit. theres a reason hes labled as a clutch player...

wait. YOU were the one arguing that any qb could step into the system and put up the numbers. not them

and no i didnt blow by your second post, but your second post is still retarded you dumb fuck. i know romo and warner are at the top statistically right now, but im saying they have as much talent as brady but they dont put up nearly as good of numbers

Woah I understand you love the Pat's but you just over react sometimes man... many people have their opinions and they will differ from your if you think Tom Brady is really good and some dont than dont think anything of it cause he has the stats to prove it thats all. Brady isnt good or bad because someone thinks he is you know?

i dont quite see what your saying.... maybe im not reading it right.

but i have stats, he doesnt. how do you measure success? i measure it with numbers, superbowl wins, and other things that numbers dont measure (like leadership, etc.). tom is at the top of all of those....

if you had to pick any qb in the league to build your team around, it would be peyton manning or tom brady or tony romo, right? maybe ill throw drew brees in there, but guess what, tom is still at the top....

Maybe I typed it wrong. But I do agree with you a lot of the time, espeically about football because you know what your taking about. What I tried to say is that you know Tom Brady is good and you can prove it by stats, but many other people just dont like him and therefore think he isnt a good player. They base their opinion off of who they like not by stats; you know that stats so thats all that matters. What I tried saying is not everyone will like Tom or think he is a good player, you know he is good and that is all that matters cause your a fan.

tom brady is good no doubt about it. but if he played for a team like the chargers or falcons or any other mediocre team he would not be a great quterback. he is only great because of the pats and would be nothing special if he played on any other team.

i disagree. he is more accurate and has a better arm than just about every player in the nfl. maybe peyton wins accuracy, but tom is an extremely close second. his awareness is also unmatched. hes not mobile, but hes knows when to throw it away. and he also makes awesome decisions. he doesnt lock onto one dude and throw to him in triple coverage. he spreads the ball around and looks for his 1, 2, 3rd, and check down targets

Alright i will admit that tom brady is good. I will NEVER say he is the best.
I am going to throw this one out there...Donte Culpepper had seasons with 39 and 25 tds in a season with Moss on his team, and we all know how he was after that. Numbers that werent as high as brady's 1 season with moss, but still pretty damn good...also his passer rating was close to brady's last season rating with moss on his team. Coincidence? I think not.
To sum it up: Donte culpepper had stats similar to brady's 2007 season in 03-04 (moss was a viking).

i think it was 04 that culpepper had 39 td, cause i remember being like wow! 39 td and he didnt even lead the league (49 td peyton manning)

that was his 6th season with randy moss. tom brady set all these records in his first year with moss
