One of my friends did this NextXSnow thing sports illustrated put on this year. He got to the finals and got on there team now he might get sponsored by Scott and some other people.

Its winter, the birds have all flown south, all but one. One little bird that waited too long. As it flew to catch it's buddies it got icicles on its wings and fell to the ground. The bird then saw a nice looking branch at the top of a nearby tree and it said to a nearby cow, 'I want to reach that top branch but I don’t have then energy to fly up, can you help?' The cow said, 'Here, eat some of my poop it'll fuel you to climb up the tree.' The little bird said, 'Thanks!' and had some of the cow poop. The bird flew up to the first branch of the tree and rested, then the next day flew to the next branch, until finally the bird reached the top branch. Then the farmer came out with a shotgun...

The moral of the story is, bullshit may get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

 
yeah one of our young athletes, brandon, 11, won the all around category. good comp for sure, gets the kids involved in the sport.

The most stylee kid on there was Sean Petit and he's only 11. I was impresssed to see all those kids sliding those monster rails

 
^ ya man, petit's the man, i heard he can like cork 7 too, im not sure if this is real, but if it is, then he will be the next tanner :)

Except for the fact that the organiser pushed the judges to put his kids in the final...and they didn't care that the park wasn't raked all day...etc.

 
friend of mine was in it. didn't make anything, but he's 13 and can pretty much outski me (16) and most of the other people i know..... crazy good.

sean petit is the real deal...he will be the next tanner, I can almost guarantee it...He has all the tricks. Just before he left I saw him throw a cork 9 over the transfer hit on blackcomb.

my little homeboy was in that, he won best male skier. his name's karl and he's 13, and he was bustin switch 5 to rodeo 7 then spinnin onto boxes and greasin an s-rail and shit. kids got skills. kinda a weird comp though...

kyle smain won overall out here. won slopestyle and skiercross and like 9th or somtin in big air. hes fukin crazy. he did a front flip over this road gap on a snowskate (he didnt land on the snowskate but who cares). he did a cork 9 in the big air
 
yeah so basically its just like a great opportunity to get noticed and see how u compare to other rippers nationwide it sounds real fun and hopefully i will do good in it because i really need to get sponsored and this is my only real shot
 
13 hes not as good as some of the kids that go though. he can do like steeze 7s and 270 ons but like some of those kids are throwing cork nines and shit
 
To add to it I did the one at the canyons and it wasnt very good. The only jumps they had were 2 hips and the second one was like landing flat. The jumps at the end of the big park (which were nice and semi big) werent even in the damn comp. Then the rails werent great either. There was like one you could spin onto and it was long and wierd. I dont mean to bitch but it wasnt very good of a super qualifier.
