Next year's Tanner's run in the pipe

In the Jerry Hall interview, he refers to the "routine" that tanner will do in the pipe next year.

What do you think it will be? All switch with amplitude ?(I think that Chris Turpin did the all switch thing a few years ago). Maybe going natural-unnatural on every wall.

Any other ideas except Sw 2160 at 50 feet in the air ?

Im really not sure, hard to tell, i just want another picture of him to come out of this event that we can photoshop.

he is going to go from the skiers right wall to the skiers left wall, all while doing a switch un-natural 1440, it will be sick

sw 10, unnaty 10, sw 7, alley oop leftside flat 5, alley oop rightside flat 5, and i dont know what other crazy stuff hes gonna toss. I can't wait to see, and I really hope Simon can compete with it.

Simon going big is soooooo key to our sport because the bigger we go, the more gapers like to watch us. The more that gapers like to watch us, the more of a chance we have for olympic glory, and olympics= $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Word to Andreas's run being more technical, and getting screwed.

As much as I love speculation (I heard Nick and Jessica might work things out), pipe runs I refuse to speculate. What is the point, they change them up throughout the season anyway. I just can't wait until EXPN starts airing promos about the Tanner vs, Simon rivarly and hyping that up all kinds...I mean, that's clearly the best thing skiing has going right now. Rivarlies make story lines and story lines make household names. The likelyhood of a middle of the pack pro (Justin Dorey for example, mad talented) winning the X games is nil. Story lines make for great "live" TV. An unknown winning, there's a story line. Tanner or Simon winning, story line.

i agree with asian_allen$ fuck simon he doesnt even grab .. and i dont really like his style for some reason

andreas in my mind has better overall runs

I do like Simon bustin huge out of the pipe, but dang i hope Andreas podiums, he has so much style and technicality.

Andreas Kills it... i think hes the best park skier in the world.. in pipe though i like LoLo Fauvres run from 3 years ago he shoulda WON over tanner.. that cork 7 omg soo sick..

Stefan thomas has mad pipe steeze too...

I think tanners run will include, Back to back 10's.. and possibly a double.... but his fakie 10s in pipe are fukin ugly... fakie spins in pipe should be a be kept below 7 casue it looks like suchj a fukin huck when they do fakie 9s and 10s

I know that he wanted to do switch ten to alley oop ten at the bottom of his run at x this year, but didn't for some reason (maybe too much snow or just playing it safe).

haha, good call! andreas is starting to develop a history of getting fucked in the ass by x games judges. but don't forget the other kids who also aren't getting the attention they deserve. i'm talking of course about two frenchmen and two finns- Kalle Leinonen, Aj Kempainen, Xavier Bertoni and Kevin Rolland. Those finns are so smooth and inhumanely steezy in the pipe, plus they get good amp, but unlike stefan, they do really tech shit too. Xavier is arguably the most tech guy in the pipe in the world, including a sw right 10 1st hit and a left 10 in the same pipe run, he just needs to work on the style and amp a bit. kevin rolland was likely to be the biggest thread this year- he qulified 3rd for x pipe finals but blew his knee in practice :( hopefully next year he stays fit because he goes HUGE whilst remaing stylie (octos and the rest). in other words, stay tuned this year fellas...

agreed.

but anyway prob a switch kangaroo to dub flat 9 octo. double misty truck, double 1620 blunt to opp blunt. steeziest air to fakie even tom wallisch is jeolous. switch right 12 50feet out take his skiis off and put em on backwards land and afterbang rideaway at 100 mph into that dipshit reporter that gave him shit in the interview a couple years back.

tanner will win x games pipe next year for sure. i mean this past x games it wasnt even close tanners level was so high above anyone else. And for all of you saying andreas is a god in pipe, well hes good but hes missing the amplitude, no alleyoops, and it does not look like hes improuved his pipe skills these past 2 years and tanners doing sick stuff with clean grabs apart maybe from the 12.

And i pray to god simon will realise taht hes got the amplitude but hes gotta start working on new tricks, and GRABS

either way its going to be some crazy shit...if andreas goes bigger, he deserves 2nd, not 1st. tanner is the worlds best pipe skier. hands down.

Headplant on the heightometer, right on the top with the tip of his helmet, then on of those crazy spinny head things the breakdancers do, haha.

i agree with Ryan.

but not entirely

simon just goes big, and some people like big (maybe homo)

i like tanner because he's tech, and personally the more you get around the better

X-games 09 pipe will be all about AJ Kemppainen and Kalle Leinonen!

someone said something about alley-opp double flat 9.. it would be awesome.. and im sure its possible.. is olsson competes in pipe? :D

ive heard him at the water ramps say that he feels like throwing a double in the pipe, kangaroo flip was what he was trhwoing when he told me this

haahahhahaha that video is hilarious...

but really im thinkin 1260, rightside 1260.

what about rodeo 9? i havent really seen those in the pipe i dont think

I'm sensing a term here....Dumont-ed or Dumont-ing

It's when someone throws large ungrabbed spins back to back, but not rightside and leftside. Just one then alley-oop.
