Newschoolers vs. ReJib

they have a pretty solid infrastructure

but the content isnt there, the users arent there, and It hasnt had time to gain its soul like NS has
 
I like the BST and that there's a music "community" but Its still in its early stages so I'm not sure how it'll be received or how it'll turn out.
 
At first i thought it would be cool to like just be able to scroll through all this ski content when I was bored, but it's day two and in having to scroll trough people being trolls
 
just seems like a bunch of east coast noodlers butthurt over bans decided to literally make their own newschoolers they couldn't get banned from. I'd bet that's how the idea started.
 
Pretty sick, i like how you can join crews in what youre interested in, then media from those crews you join pops up on your home page.

hopefully if enough people join, my homepage will turn into a better version of Facebook, all i do is like cool pages on Facebook so cool shit pops up on my news feed. Couldn't care less about what people ate for dinner and all those dumb posts.
 
About this. All due respect, but, ReJib has been around for 4 days. Its going to be updated and theres not gonna be a sense of community this early. Its closer to a social network then to a forum like Newschoolers, which is why its not really a community. Look at your Facebook feed, do you feel all tight and buddy buddy with all those people? No. You may have some group of friends who you interact with, but its not the same. This site is trying to go in a completely different direction, and to compare it to something that is extremely different is just being stupid. Sorry to be making a giant rant on NS and I apologize if anybody doesn't like the vibe of this post, but i just feel that this needed to be said.
 
I agree that there will definitely be many updates to come to the site. However, is what they're doing all that different than what NS already has? The only difference I see is a lack of community (which is why I would even want to be part of a skiing site to begin with) and a fancy notification system that might save me some clicks per day. I hope it does well, I have no desire to use it.

Ps- my apologies if that is a clusterfuck of thought. I'm more than happy to explain further the above post if it is confusing or makes no logical sense at all.

I'm a fan of the B/S/T. Other than that, its kinda meh, would be better with forums. Also would be better if you could make a username.
 
We should let Rejib be.

The guy who made the website obviously put a lot of time and thought into building it. For that reason alone we shouldn't go on it to flame away, even if you aren't a fan of the website. This is coming from someone who won't be spending time on there..
 
facebook is like owning a hat.

hats dont really do much, but everyone owns a hat. its like a typical thing to own, even if you don't really use it or like it. if you don't like your hat, leave it in a corner and don't wear it. it's not a big deal.

But I saw this thread a few days ago, never read it. Then I saw the ad on the side of facebook so I found this thread again. And they call it "freeskiing's new scene." It's not like this is the old scene. It is the scene.

bishop i had you sitting at 5/10 since coming on this site. i never knew what i thought of you. sometimes you make good comments. sometimes you suck. but this just made me realize as a person, you are a funny guy. you are now 10/10. you gave me a great laugh
 
I seen rejib advertised on Facebook... you know what I did with that add? the same thing I do with every add on FB ignore it. I mean I have a twitter account but I dont ever use or check it.
 
I really only add people I'm friends with, not just people I've met once or something. Why would you want to know what people you barely know are doing
