Think about it, the NS crew cover just about all the elements of our community. With freeze now gone we wonder who or what could replace it.

Newschoolers.com with staff like Chris K O’Connell, Ethan Stone, Doug Bishop and Paul Stanisci,who else covers the events as well as these guys. So why not a Newschoolers Magazine.

Come on what do you think about this idea, yes or no.

yea, i let my friends watch sometimes when they get bored. ive rented out some bleachers for them to sit in actually, im thinking of making big foam hands with 'no jaime! not in there!' written on them.

^But that's not NS magazine... however, rumor is that there's something in the works for NS that will come with the changes to the forum, so who knows what will happen in time... get rady for big, scary new things for NS.

The amount of money, time and effort needed to start a magazine is absolutely ridiculous- thousands of magazines get started every year, and 95% go under before they see their first advertising check. NS has the time and the effort, but not the money. :)

Something's in the works though that will change a lot around here, though... JD, how did you find out?

Haha, I have my ways, Ethan... you're right, you guys do NOT have the money for this. But the way the new NS is going to be set up should help that, I hear.

The new setup for NS will be more efficent costing it less to run and in the end making NS more money. There's more to it than that I'm pretty sure but that's all I got as of now.

newschoolers functions way too well as a website, i think i would be let down by a magazine...but who knows

 
oh how little you youngins know.

there was an attempt a few years ago by mr. harvey and crew to develop an online magazine for the freeskiing community by the name of UNITY. as far as i know it is stashed deep on the hard drive of matts computer maybe to be brought back to life someday.

as for now, matt has been named editor of a new magazine published by the parent company of freeskier targeted at the little kids that feel sadened by the departure of the now defunct freeze magazine
