Problem is that magazines are published like a year after stuff happens. So you'd pick up a magazine in January and it would be like "Member of the month from last January"
I think a magazine is a dope idea, but there's just so much more we could do with the money it would take to get it started... I mean imagine the costs... and then imagine if you just invested that in a good website.
If someone wants to start their own magazine and base everything off of what happens on Newschoolers then by all means please do and we'll help you out like you have no idea.
I just fail to believe that magazines are the future.
that wouldnt be bad, like a photo annual but monthly, and you could talk about different events and stuff, id love to start one but i dont have any of the necessary resources
I think it's the classic plastered all over the wall look that people go for with mag pictures. We want someone else to print them so we can just tear em out and apply tape. That will never get old.
I think it would be amazing if someone could assemble a NS coffe-table magazine/book type thing. Like the quality of The Ski Journal as far as nice materials, but filled with member-submitted photos and maybe the top 5 or 10 highest rated front page news stories complete with photos. Also maybe each team that pays for updates could have 1 page with their best photos from the year.
that would be wayy sick, and I would easily shell out $25 for one.
Magazine Features: -Today on NS, noobs were noobs, people were being dumb, studpid post whores posted, skiers skied. some kid posted a picture of weed, asdfhakjlshfkjah
we talked about doing this before and I called the makers of frequency and we talked about options, and to do what I wanted you would need tons of money down and a very large circulation to make it worth your while. Not to mention lots of money to put down initially
