Newschoolers, Lets see your Whips!

Car shows! Wasaga Beach Corvette Weekend - tonnes of chicks go ;) haha You'd be surprised how many chicks like classic cars.... or maybe I just over estimate the ones who actually go for the cars and not the men with the money... haha.. but I guess that's not a bad thing..?I think I just like picturing myself driving up to my boys place of a work in a 69 Camaro RS and seeing peoples reactions.

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 liter Hemi got everything except the rear video screen cause I didn't want it. I have the front windows tinted, radar detector hard wired into the bluetooth in my rear view mirror so that it turns on when the car does and turns off when the cars off. I also have the ipod adaptor so I can control it through the stero controls and all.

1998 S10, 2.2l, 5 speed, stepside shortbed
As stated earlier this is my project truck. I just put the new rear end in about a week ago, and also put beefier tires on the back. I pulled the engine and tranny about 3 days ago and it is now awaiting a new 2.2l crate engine which will go in today or tomorrow.Future plans for this truck are:Moog 5664 front coilsprings3" lift spindles2" shacklesE-fanBigger front tiresEither a 327 or 350 smallblock, whatever I can get my hands on first. Hopefully I can get about 300-350 hp out of them.Custom fabbed brush and bumper guard.

e85 is cheaper and more effective..

so what would be the point in buying more expensive gas if you can get the same thing (if not better)?

but only in certain cars tho right?a friend of mine grows corn and switched to planting the E85 corn but lost a lot of money because the companies told her they were trying to reduce the amount produced.

i mean, you have to have the right air/fuel ratio in order for it to work right, and i'm sure there are other things as well.

i couldn't tell you specifics as i haven't done this myself

and what companies are you talking about? a bunch more e85 gas stations are opening up..

gas burns cleaner and cooler and is in general less damaging to a high performance engine. and i dont know where you live, but around me gas is cheaper. the reason production of e85 is going down is that its not a long term, practical solution to either of our two major problems, global warming or oil dependence.

well the people that her family would sell their corn to in order to make it into fuel, she said they turned the corn down.

around me, we dont even have e85.. i first heard about it yesterday when i opened up this thread, then i researched a little about it

damn that is straight hateful, now how could you hate penn state? and where do you go if you have such strong hate for them?

i dot believe gas burns any cleaner or anything, i believe e85 helps make more torque or something. i know people with a tune turning frmo gas to e85, adn they mkae more on e85, and dont change anything other than what the engine burns best on. btu yes its just a temp thang. and its cheaper or the smae price as gas round here. much cheaper than permium. which i hope you are running in your whip cause t7 runs best on premium.

way to high to try and reson this shit out, sorry if it dosent make sence

but you need to dump a lot more e85 into the engine than you would premium gas for gains to be seen. it's something like 40% more fuel than say 91 octane. plus you need upgraded fuel pump etc.

personally i think it would be sick to have a map for your e85 (race gas) and a map for your premium gas (DD gas) so if you wanted to race go fill up with e85 and switch maps. but for more efficient every day shit use premium. thats what some guy on my speed3 forum is doing, and i think that's a sick plan.

the thing about e85 is that it is an alcohol and eats away at everything it touches from the time it is packaged until it is burned in your car, e85 is not race gas in any way shape or form, it is a higher octane then regular gas but not as high as high octane racing gas, i dont like e85 because of what it does to your engine and insides of engines

i'd consider it a race gas. it's equivalent to something like 100 octane no? and it's completely fine as far as not corroding plastics in the engine, mainly aluminum. which can become a problem lol. i would not run it simply because i'd be running it with direct injection which already has trouble getting enough fuel to the engine, let alone another 40% using e85. plus like you said longevity of the engine goes way downhill. but if tuned correctly the guy on my forum is pulling about another 40whp. not bad haha.

i agree with everything you just said except the racing fuel part, premium is 95 i believe in michigan, the ama has racing fuel listed as any octane between 115-125
