The only difference to the 09 was tuning and the bigger turbo. Yea, stage 2 numbers on the 09's are sweet, but if I were to upgrade my turbo, then it makes no point either way since as soon as you switch it out, its the same car (as long as you have it tuned).

Plus, I bought it about a year ago before 09's were announced.
 
as japollner said, the only difference is they went from a vf39 to vf40 (turbo). im assuming he'll get it tuned so it would be pointless for him to get the 09.
 
Eh, I got my fully loaded 08 out the door for 22k. Thats after financing at 1.9% (I have good credit.)

I priced out STI. Base it would have still been about 35k.

The only option I dont have is Navigation, and I got it for about 10k under MSRP. I did just fine in my opinion.
 
you obviously don't know anything about GLI's. if I saw a girl driving one, i would get a stiffy instantly...some exceptions though
 
I live in a town where no one gives a fuck about cars. I just never knew that everyone got daddy to buy them nice cars.
 
that cars awesome my dad also had a 67' cutlas convertible and i think we might try and get one as a project car to restore.
 
common man, dont be a dick like that. dont post if you feel that way. i happen to live in a same town like that, but i drive a nice car...that is my parents. They have 3 cars because they do, and it is actually more economical for me to just drive one of theirs instead of buying me my own or me working and buying oneso before you go criticize everyone here, think about what you're saying. everyone has their own situation...
 
Yea, I know, and I'm defending myself by saying that everyones situation is different, and he should probably get to know someone before he judges them. I'm sure half the kids here are just posting their parents cars anyway. Who gives a crap, its just cool to see other cars, whether they are nice or shitty.
 
yeah i hate it when daddy goes off and buys his kid a really nice (automatic) car...

i had to buy my 96 tacoma with all my money and i have to pay for everything on it (that was all new brakes/tires, suspension, bumpers, exhaust, etc) and gas.

its just a little frustrating when that merc convertable pulls up next to you...
 
hate to be a buzzkill or sound rude in anyway but that's life dude. i know it sucks for me seeing these kids get into college on a sports scholarship and then do nothing in classes and breeze by just because they're good at a sport...while the rest of us have to work hard to maintain a good gpa :[
