the next think I want to do is new suspension

Thanks man, where I live there are so many pot holes it scares me to lower it but I really need to. I dont think Ill be able to pull in my driveway if I lower it.

Tell me about it I live in colorado and there is tons of road damage but I lowered my car and I would never go back to a stock suspension set up on any car I own.

I think Ill feel the same once I do it. I would like to get coilovers so I could at least raise it up a lil in the winter so my bumper isnt a snow plow.

haha thanks man. i like your whip too. saw yours and had to throw mine up. ill list the mods later today prolly. too lazy to list right now. did you drop yours at all?

is that an 02 540? my buddys got one thats got the m package and I guess it was called the black package but the ENTIRE car is black (trim, molding, grill and the entire interior) and he just got 20% all the way around and some m5 rims that thing is meannnn and soo fast

It is a 02 525i and does have a sport package. However, I got a m5 front bumper put on.

For mods:

Miro M6 19x8.5 and 19x9.5

Custom Catback exhaust to a Remus Rev 3 muffler

Cosmos SRI

NGK Plugs

Akebono brake pads with brembo blank rotors

Future Mods:

ESS Twin Screw Supercharger

New custom LSD

Tranny swap

Thats what I did performance wise. I should have her supercharged by this time next year at the latest. That will take me around 350 to 400 horsepower to the wheels. I wish I had a 540 but didnt have the cash for it and maintainmence is outragous for the that car. I put over 4 grand into my car but didnt really get much performance gains :(.

For everyone with a Bimmer, what do you think of them? Would you buy one again? Are they really expensive to maintain like everyone says?

really not as bad as you would think it is yea like brakes and tires are kinda expensive but def worth it i mean compared to a subie as many would suggest on hear there sooo much nicer and ride so much better.

Nice man, I have an 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 and I'm not gonna lie I went with my friends 540 off the line and took him nose to nose to 85 where we had to stop because there was a speed trap. I was soo surprised and so stoked but those are great cars but that sucks about your gains. is yours all black? or is there some chrome on there?

I love my bimmer and I dont think Ill ever buy another car besides one. They arent really that expensive to maintain the V8 cost more to maintain then I6s. Brakes are fairly cheap on BMWs(just changed mine). Most on the things on these cars very easy to change and you can do them yourself. Join a forum( i use Bimmerforums) and you will save your self on so much money.

Mine is all black Interior and around the windows. I blacked out the grill myself but other than that thats how it came.

2006 4Runner Sport Edition....It hauls for a truck, i raced my friend who used his dad's Lexus GS 400 and I was in the lead up to about 85-90mph then he pulled away, I was getting excited for awhile then I was brought back down to reality

It's good I see where you're comin from. It's got real similar specs to Hondas and Acuras n such. If you're referring to the way the car sounds though, It really doesnt have that "Rice" sound. It's a deeper lower sound. For example, my boy drives a 93' fifty with an X-pipe, which sounds raw as fuck, and is rawer than my setup hands down. However he still throws it up for my setup and thinks it sounds clean.

hell yea with a low five, I'll try to get some pics up this weekend after I hopefully get out of the hospital along with some of my hidden and hard wired radar detector.

No I was not talking about sound, 4cyl naturally aspirated car with intake and a cat back, there is more money spent on non-performance parts.

This is my old one, I miss this truck to death. My dad ended up trading it in for an 08 GMC Canyon for my mom....

I now drive a 1999 S-10 ext cab 2wd, 4.3L. I hate that truck in every way. No comparison to big red.
This is my next ride that I'm in the process of fixing up. My mechanic gave it to me because someone towed it in gear and destroyed the drivetrain, so I have to swap a new engine, tranny, and backend into it. Its pretty much the same truck as my other S10. 1998 Chevy S10, 2.2L, 5 speed, 2wd.
