its a fucking 16 cyl QUAD(4) turbos! its not a gas sipper. the jetta and, passat, and all other VW's are not bad on gas, in fact quite good on gas, considering the power you get.
so do us all a favor, and stop expressing your opinon, cause everyhting you say just makes you sound stupid.
 
yeah the buggatti is more for show. We tested its speed in the salt flats. We got it to 200 mph. We didn't want to run out of gas because you need to put this special key to let it go that fast. The car lowers it self and the air brake rises. The gas only goes for 15 miniutes in its full speed capacity mode
 
if you seriously have a buggatti, then we need pics, of you next to it with a piece of apper with youre NS name on it.
also its funny to see in the vids on youtube the gas needle slowly drops when they have all 3 keys in and are in full out acceleration
 
i'll try, my dad needs to bring it to the dealership in europe because the airbrake got chipped in the salt flats. It really got messed up. I will get some up in a month

He said no to the other company because he can't see the car as it goes over on the boat. And trusting some other company to transport a 1.7 million dollar car didn't soung good to him
 
well i meant to compare the veyron to cars that are more in it's range, the mclaren f1, the aero tt, the barabus tkr. i mean you're talking economy cars when you say jetta and passat, but i'm talking supercars here. the volkswagen w12 nardo is also a major gas-guzzler when compared to cars in it's category. volkswagen can't make a supercar without chugging gas like mad.

the veyron is simply not a track car. there are plenty of cars out there that would wreck it on the track simply because of how quickly it burns gas. and when it comes down to it, that's what matters. it's not as if the people who buy this car are going to take it to the airport every day so they can push it to the top speed, it's more likely that they are going to take it to the track and find out that they will only get one lap in before having to fill up.
 
Guys, K -rob is from Canada, have you ever though that 8000 CAD is about 6,400$ USD? which is believable for a road bike.

dude, NO supercar gets"good" gasmileage. they are generallly all V10's adn up or TT V8's adn bigger. they are designed to be aerodynamic and fast as fuck. and when you say VW's arent good on gas from what ive heard... dosent sound like you specifically mean supercars from vw.

stating that NO supercar gets "good" gas mileage pretty much just dropped you out of this argument. in terms of supercars that go fast, the veyron is by far the worst offender in gas mileage, especially when you see the results that you get out of burning all that gas (pretty sad in supercar terms).

it seems as though the veyron is all for show. i mean, 7:40 in the nurburgring when a stock porsche carrera gt can do 7:28, yet volkswagen claims it to be the ultimate sportscar. i don't know how many sportscars have a dvd player built in, because that doesn't matter, but hey, you get it in the veyron. it's just a way for volkswagen to say they have a great car, with nothing to back it up but an impressive acceleration from 40-100, which isn't an advantage in any race when you couple it with weight, gas mileage. it's a luxury car that goes fast, not a race car with luxury parts. most buyers looking for a luxury car would rather have something sexy than somethign fast, and most buyers looing for a sportscar would have something fast than something sexy. the veyron satisfies neither of those buyers.
 
you're just copying those generic facts from the episode of Top Gear with the race between a veyron and a jame's mays plane. And it's actually empty in under 12 minutes, and in 12 minutes James May managed to bring it up to full speed. (253mph) It's the tires that wear out in 15 minutes.

And the key has nothing to do with the gas, you only need the key to reach full speed. (and the key wouldn't be needed to reach 200mph anyways)

Moving on now...the wing/air brake rises when the car is heavily braking, or in handling mode. So basically the only thing you got right is that the car lowers itself.

But anyways, my current car is a 99 toyota corolla. (previously owned by a navy seal and the first female astronaut from the navy) but i have hopes for an audi a4 in time...
 
pretty much everyone that buys a veyron buy it for exclusivity. theressoooo few made. its more of a status symbol than a ferrari or lambo. and go get me some proof that it gets way worse mileage than a ferrari or whatever. cause none of them get good mileage, they arent ment for that. and so what it got beat by a carrera gt, but does it beat enzos and gallerados? i would put them right on level as the veyron.
 
Someone who finally sees the Veyron as I do, an overpriced toy made by the Vag group that doesn't stack up as the ultimate sports car, it's jsut one very fast, well built vehicle.

I would take a Ferrari F40 or a McLaren F1 over a Veyron anyday of the week. Sure I might loose in a drag race, but on the track i'll win or just look cooler doing it.

I love the VAG group but I do not like the Veyron.
 
exactly, it might not be the fastest around the track, but that dosent mamke it not a supercar. its a status symbol, thats better than a regular merc, or f430 or whatever you wanna pick.
 
you know what else i would put on the same level as a Veyron? the 962 LeMans. it's the same digits in top speed and acceleration, but it wrecks the Veyron on the track. oh, and it was made over 10 years ago.

as far as comparing gas mileage of a Veyron vs. an FXX or a Koenigsegg or an F1 or an Aero TT, google is your friend. Veyron loses on all accounts, as well as losing on the track, despite being priced at twice as much as an Aero TT.

former fastest car in the world, $3.6 million USD price tag, Volkswagen constantly calling it a supercar ("greatest supercar ever built"), pretty sure that means it's a supercar. a fail of a supercar, but a supercar nonetheless. and you can't compare it to an f430, f430's are better compared to porsches, and a hell of a lot cheaper. try an FXX if you're going to compare Veyrons to Ferraris.

i know what you said. but you are trying to defend it as being worth something. if it's not worth anything to Volkswagen, seeing as how they are practically giving them away, i don't see how it could be worth anything to a consumer, even somebody who is just a collector. there is absolutely nothing good about this car, and you can't argue that.
 
please enlighten me on how it isnt worht anything? i believe a 3.6million dollar car(acording to you, ive got no idea on price) one of teh fastest production cars in the world, and one of the rarest, isnt worth jack shit to anyone. also how is there nothing goodabout it? now i wont argue with you, for the moeny id rather have a different car, but if i can afford to buy it, i would sure as hell love to own one.

seeing as how you keep comparing F430s to Veyrons, let's look at that.

F430: Ferrari, cheaper, better-looking, would win in a race that involved turning the steering wheel.

Veyron: Volkswagen, more expensive, uglier, would win in a race that involved stepping on the gas pedal.

i don't know about you, but i'd rather have the F430.

so it looks like the f430 is faster by a minute, and those are rounded times. different drivers, and dude, read what i post before trying to argue with me. i said i would rather have many other cars that are faster than a veyron. but if i had the money i would gladly buy and drive a veyron, for what they are( a lux. supercar) they are redicolously fast. and sure you get more for youre money with other cars. but for how much youre paying, getting what you pay for probally isnt tops onyoure list...
 
its actually really good in the snow, i have good winter tires on it, and i keep if the same ride height year round (droped as far as possible on race coilovers), and it works just great!
 
go read teh posts, ive been trying to tell you i agree with you, its very fast, mabye not worth almost 4million dolllars, but well worth some money, you tried to say it wasnt. and would you rather have a porsche 996 or a veyron. sure the 996 is faster around a track, but the veyron is was doper. will pull you more honeys, and is wayy faster/rarer than a porsche.(besides a carrera gt)
 
as far as having money to get honeys goes, that speaks for the type of honeys you'd be pulling. the price tag speaks for nothing but the rarity of the car, because you can buy a better car for half the price. if being rare was all that mattered, the Reventon would have had the power of a Prelude. Fortunately, Volkswagen/Audi realized that Lamborghini has a reputation to uphold, as opposed to bringing back a 50 year-old brand that nobody remembered.
 
Have you ridden in a bugatti or not? We were at 200 mph. There was wind blowing at 20 mph sw we were driving north. You need to the key to use all that horse power. Dont talk untill you ride
 
haha, you make me laugh?? would you care to explain to me a few things.

1) how you would be able to limit the horsepower by the use of a key. Yes I realize that you could write a program to the ECU that would limit the fuel regulators and the boost pressure but as far as I have read (or remember reading) the veyron does not have multiple tunes on the stock ECU which would be required to do this operation

2) you are telling me that you drove all the way to the Bonneville salt flats to test out your dad's Veyron and you live in New York?

3) how the FU< can you ship a car across the ocean for 1k?? that's unheard of where i'm from but if it is true, please tell me the company's name so I can import a r32.

4) I'm sure at some point in time your father would have had some picture taken of him with the Veyron and I would have to say that you would have too, so why not just post that old picture instead? The closest I've ever been to a Veyron was abot 6ft or so (at a car show I was at) and I got apicture with the car in the background so I can tell people I've seen it in person.

So until proven otherwise I think you'd joking around with us, and on that note, if/when I am proven wrong I will gladly retract all statements made by me against you and offically appologize for not beliveing you, butuntil then my stance is firm and I think you are liying to try and impress your internet friends
 
there is 3 keys needed in the car, i dont think they limit power, but they do limit the speed. im probally wrong but i think ive seen that somewere.
 
yeah, I know the keys limit the speed, you have the regular stance (limted to 150something I think), the spirited driving stance (slightley lower read wing fully deployed) top speed 17X something I think, then there is the top speed more, lowest to the ground, wing at just a slight angle to reduce drag but provide sufficient downforce on the rear tires.

I'm not saying the Veyron isn't a technological marvel that if you were stupid enough you could drive daily, but I am saying 1) this kid's dad most likely doesn't own one of the roughly 220 produced thusfar) and 2) it is a car soely created so arrogent rich pompus cockhead can buy one. A true enthusiast would much rather have a greater laundry list of vehicles over the pig of a technological wonder.

I could go on for hours about my thoughts on the current trend of overweight, highpowered sports cars, but I would probably bore a good 8/10s of you to tears .that is why I have car forums anyways.
