it's worth a little over 8 grand (at the moment), it weighs a little over 14 ounces, and i've pushed it to a little over 100km/hr

oh yeah, and it only cost me $1250 (it's nice having pro friends).

huge. do you want some more proof? let me know what you need to see, i'll see what i can do.

ummm, yeah it does. for the types of races these bikes compete in, the old regulations included not having a bike that weighed less than 14 ounces. the new regulations state that the bikes can weigh no less than 12 ounces. the guy i bought this bike from, his new bike weighs less than 12 ounces. he has to put a water bottle on his bike to sneak it past the judging.

and to buddy who said the frame is too big for me, you're right, sort of. it's about an inch too big for me. the seat is supposed to be a lot higher but i'm not used to riding a bike like that and i have trouble mounting and dismounting like that (MTBer). so i lowered the seat. i'm not racing, i just use it to get around.

I understand that. Road pedals can be hard to get out of sometimes. I suggest taking you foot out before you are going to stop and rest it on top of the pedal. It will help a lot and you'll get a lot more power and speed if the seat is raised where it's supposed to be. Have fun, looks like a sick bike for sure. What components do you have on it?

oh and here's a video of the guy i bought the bike from, on his new bike (this summer). he's the one who wins the race, it's a pretty awesome finish.

what has been modified on it? Cause every one of those that i've seen is worth a little over $1000.

but with new tires, treads, pedals, chain, shifters, derailleurs, handlebars etc etc etc i can see how it might be worth a bit more

yeah i'm not really looking for getting the power and speed, i mostly just cruise around my neighbourhood on it (breaking the speed limit teehee). i was told i should start competing though, so maybe in the future i will change it up. i'm not exactly sure what all the components are, but it's the same condition i bought it in, so it's a pro bike (sponsored by Giant) with a few mods i think, but i'd have to ask my buddy about it because i don't know very much about race bikes. i still have to buy the shoes for clipping in haha, right now i just ride in whatever shoes i feel like wearing at the time haha.

a little over $1000? dude, you can buy an aluminium bike that weighs more than twice as much, if not five times as much as thing thing, for over $4000. this thing is pretty much pure carbon fibre. it's worth a lot more than i paid for it. the only reason he was selling it for so cheap is because he needed money to move to vancouver for school.

whats the exact name of it? I couldn't quite make it out from the pictures so i probably searched the wrong thing. And yea i know carbon fibre bikes are insane, one of my friends is a pro racer and has all sorts of crazy bikes that weigh about as much as the handlebars on my xc dual suspension bike. It's ridiculous how light they are making them these days

My dad does traithlons, and his bike is pretty goddamn light. But jeez, 12 ounces? I would feel like i'd break it sitting on it.

ill post it later this week.right now its in the garage for an 800 fucking dollar repair fuck! im so pissed

dude your fucking stupid if you think the complete bike weighs 14 ounces. The frame may weigh 14 ounces, but no way the complete bike weighs 14 ounces.
