Yea I've actually looked at those, they seem pretty cool. Can't drive a manual until August when I get my full licence bc I sat my restricted license in an auto :/

Hiluxs are fuckin great trucks but they're super pricey here for some reason, even the older ones

Are hiluxs like tacomas down under? Intersting looking truck

just a suspension lift , doesnt really do much but lets you have bigger tires and makes the jeep look better, im at stock height right now

A suspension lift can include a lot of things, depending on the changes you are making. Pre-labor, I am guessing that will run you between $300-$500 for a decent setup of shocks and coils.

I think it is because of the fender flares if I remember correctly

It is indeed a manual ix touring :)

Yeah I believe so. I think they might be a little bit beefier as well due to where they're sold.

They are a completely different truck. I think the only piece that they had in common was the frame, but I don't believe that's the case anymore.

The lux is the worlds truck. Most of them come with a turbo Diesel engine in a four door short bed configuration. They are AWESOME trucks and I wish they sold them in North America. Blows the Taco right out of the water.

i have a miata now and by the end of summer I could import a stagea which would be my daily for the rest of the year, and probably my drift car because I really can't bring myself to fuck up my miata. It's lived so long as is.

but, my options are sell the miata now and make very minimal profit, and import a car by may at the latest, or should I tinker away with the miata for a while and keep it for my dad and I to have fun with and make it a track car? Any opinions are welcome lol

(the miata is an 89, which means it's a left hand drive japanese imported car which also has a very low vin number if that means anything to any of you.)

Lots of bias here cause I hate convertibles so I say get a stagea.

Yo guys, I need some help

Looking at buying my first car soon ( been driving for a while now but just borrowing parents car ) and I'm having trouble finding the right one.

Looking for a car that is:

- A small-ish station wagon

- 4WD (not AWD)

- Super reliable

- good fuel economy

- low price ( looking to spend around 5k nzd at most, so I guess around 3.5k usd )

Been looking at Toyota Caribs cause they fit what I'm looking for perfectly, but they haven't been coming up for sale a lot recently so I sorta need more options to look for.

any recommendations?

Problem solved guys

Finally found a dece carib so I bought it

5k nzd

very happy :))))))

You guys with AWD and traction control and good weight distribution are pussies... You wanna really drive? Get yourself one of these neck breaking, turbo charged 4 cylinder hulk of Swedish engineering. 806445.jpeg

The Volvo 740 turbo wagon, making a incredible 162 ass clenching horsepower, channeled through a 4 speed transmission.

Ha! Yeah I know the feeling. I live in the town on a flat street, so I'm always parked in the side of the road. The plow comes through and leaves a nice big pile blocking me in, so I have to shovel it out for two hours then try for 10 minutes to get out, and finally break down and put the chains on. RWD is great, isn't it?

Have yet to bust out the chains on half worn Blizzaks and two 60lb sandbags in the trunk

Our driveway just sucks. No one makes it out in 2 wheel

I put a corvette engine into my 1988 BMW 325...now it's a 357 (3 series with a 5.7 liter v8 instead of a 2.5 liter inline 6). The new engine is all aluminum so it gained no weight aka it's 2800 lbs and has 350 hp. It's actually kinda scary to drive haha...

Are you on Carthrottle? If you're not, I seriously recommend checking it out. That E30 would get so much hype if you posted it there.

I know it's a long link but it's literally just a list of pictures depicting this swap.

the car is cool as fuck, but carthrottle is dumb and it's not necessarily a unique swap anymore.

For the love of all that is good, cummins swap a chev or ford. Dodge generally sucks at drivetrains and electrical systems.

About to get my first car pretty soon.

I've been looking at '02-'05 WRX's, b5 a4 avants, 1st/2nd gen Cherokees, or maybe a mid sized truck.

I know subies are super reliable and Cherokees last forever. But I'm hesitant about getting an Audi because I've heard the drivetrain craps out once it gets over 100k miles.

I love those things, get the type S wing for it too

kind of a misconception. ive had 2 cummins powered dodges and the dodge part has given me no issues, the damn 12 valves have just killed me though. its like an addiction though, ill have a 3rd gen soon enough.

i do have a 72 gmc sittin around, if i swap a diesel into it it will be a 453t detroit though.

That killer dowel pin on the 12v will do it haha. I have too many friends that have gone passed the dodge headache to the full blown migraine, guess I might be biased.

yeah i love mine. i don't see many around town either. i was lucky to get it in great condition for the price, with about 60k miles, aftermarket bumpers, nice all season mats, and a couple other things, for 7k. for an 03, it's in beautiful condition. a couple nicks here and there but nothing too noticable, headlights are crystal clear, etc.

just wish i could've found an s type in similar condition. i love mine but i do fine myself wanting more power sometimes, and i really wish i could have the 6 speed instead of 5. but it is what it is, i already have decided my next car will be a 6 speed. don't know what yet, but definitely want a 6 speed lol

this is maximus, aka max. 2003 coopah

he enjoys front wheel pow turns. for a coop, he's gotten me through some pretty big storms. tinted, racked, and rimmed.
