Remove those BBS's please and just slap on some Volvo R rims.

bought one of these bad boys off my friend for $45k. picture is his from last winter. 2015 STI with full audio and full performance package, upgraded exhaust, and new turbo. He was in 57k, was selling for 50k, but for some reason shaved $5k off for me. I owe him big time.

Troll?

A new STI is less than that...

Dude! I've seen you whipping this thing in Bozo before. Very sick.

Also I dont have much to contribute cuz I drive a white 99 Yukon totally stock. Just gonna do some minor cosmetics like black badges, black wheels, window tint. give it da stormtrooper look. Also planning on dropping around a stack on a stereo system this spring and building the audio up from there. Basically gonna turn it into a rolling amphitheater. INB4 audio is gay but I dont give a shit. I'm not the least bit interested in building any sort of performance vehicle and I love car audio so yeah.

yes, but "he" put a lot of work into it, meaning he payed a shop to do all the upgrades and tuning, so he spent a lot on labor too. I dont know why he put so much into it, he told me he was just going to sell it when the 2016 model came out. he bought it for $42k and put 15k into it. Kicker speakers, exhaust, tuning ect.

Strut brace, 2 sets of tires, upgraded speakers with tweeters and 15" subwoofer. he got it tuned before he sold it to me. full tank of gas, too.

Sounds like homeboy got raped. 13k for an exhaust, strut brace and a tune? Lol. A full audio setup (and I'm talking dynamat lining, custom box, subs, tweeters, 3 ways, mid range speaks, fully wired and installed) shouldn't run more than a couple grand.

I told him he spent a little much but he blew me off. Had I gotten a new STI and put those upgrades in id be over $45k, so i didn't care how much he paid, I saved a few bucks.

I feel it. Seems he realized he couldn't really afford it and cut his losses which was a good move.

Still not as bad as this kid in my hometown. Took out a FAT loan to buy a built 2012 STI, stage 2 turbo, ETS frontmount intercooler. new exhaust, full tune, other stuff I can't remember. pulling 370 WHP, but he's gonna be looking at 64k by the time he pays it off. Not to mention he doesn't know ANYTHING about car maintenance, didnt change the oil for 5k miles and now is 7k more in debt to rebuild the engine after he blew it up. Fucking 21 years old without a career 70k in debt.

How many miles? I mean, up here in Canada, a 2 minute search shows me I can pick up a 2015 STI with 13k miles for $38k ($27k used) or one with 8k miles for $45k ($32k usd).

I can't imagine what kind of tune you're getting for $15k, but I really don't know much about tuning so I can't say too much. Seems like lots, but to each their own.

Reasons why the poor stay poor. What moron takes out $64k for a car in general if you have to finance it?

A car is a tool, especially at age 21. If your rich fine buy whatever you want. But if you cant afford it don't buy it. Buy a car to get you from a to b whatever it takes....awd, reliable, etc.

Lol and people say Evo X MR's cost a fortune...Just because he paid a lot for mods doesnt mean he should get all of it back. I guess if youre able to afford it, good for you, Im jealous and enjoy!

Yeah they came with the car when i bought it. Its got the stock t5 wheels on it now with snow tires. Might get a set of pegs or volans in the spring since those bbs rub like a bitch.

I hope the dude with the STI is trolling, 1500 for a tune, lol

Spent a week out in Big Sky Montana and finally got to take my Subaru out there. Had way to much fun and it handled just fine for the 12 hour drive each way.

Former stance queen?

hahaha no stance ever. But yeah, I do have some bacon on my ds fender. Traded my Evo for it and the guy wanted to keep his XXRs lol. The Evo wheels had the same tires all around at first...which had a bit too much sidewall in the front and the first day I had the car I smacked the tire against the fender and crunched it. Oops.

White evo xs look sooo good. How's it handling in the snow?

best word to describe it would be "intuitive". the amount of control you have going sideways is still blows my mind. it definitely gives you more confidence than anyone else on the road when it's snowy.

That's awesome. I love the way SAWC works, hopefully one day I'll experience it firsthand. My crv makes me not wanna get sideways in snow lol

with my blizzaks i have to rev that shit to get it to kick out haha. when youre done going sideways point it where you want and hit the gas! i mainly stay in tarmac mode in the snow and maybe gravel in like 4+inches

Anyone know where I could get a bull bar for an 04 (st) forester? I see them a lot but I can't find any for sale.

Also...how much of a difference will a catback really make. I'm finishing up my cosmetic things and want to start working on getting some more out of it.

Sti build maybe?

A catback really wont add much power, for a stock turbo car Id guess at most 15hp gain but you should do more, get a full exhaust, intake, get it tuned and get an accessport or something. Or just "stage 2 it bruh"

Yeah, have bigger turbo waiting, also have bigger intake, inter cooler, injectors coming. Catback is just a short term thing

Oh nice yeah get equal length headers if you want some extra power or uels if you just want the rumble. Sounds like it's gonna be pretty good when everything's put in.

I would check out subaruforester.org for the bull bar and they would have info about power stuff as well.

If you're doing a bigger turbo, you're probably going to want to do a bigger fuel pump (WB255), boost controller, accessport unless you're planning to have it protuned, up-pipe, and downpipe.

Honestly, if you want more power, don't do a bigger turbo. Just throw a turboback, up-pipe, and intake on and have it tuned for "stage 2".

Yo guys, I need some help

Looking at buying my first car soon ( been driving for a while now but just borrowing parents car ) and I'm having trouble finding the right one.

Looking for a car that is:

- A small-ish station wagon

- 4WD (not AWD)

- Super reliable

- good fuel economy

- low price ( looking to spend around 5k nzd at most, so I guess around 3.5k usd )

Been looking at Toyota Caribs cause they fit what I'm looking for perfectly, but they haven't been coming up for sale a lot recently so I sorta need more options to look for.

any recommendations?

If you have them there, a honda crv is perfect, you can find one for your price range. Get a manual one if you do, auto sucks. I can usually go 300-310 miles on a full tank of gas and I havent had any major issues yet.

Yea I've actually looked at those, they seem pretty cool. Can't drive a manual until August when I get my full licence bc I sat my restricted license in an auto :/

Anywhere from $300-$2500 depending on how extensive a lift you want. I'm guessing you just want new shocks and coils at most? I imagine a jeep forum would be useful
