Newschoolers Day at Boreal Sign up

Due to more the number of people that agree to have a NS meet at boreal, this will be the thread for it.

I think the most reasonable dates to do the meet would be on weekends since not everybody lives near tahoe. Most likely a saturday or a sunday.

I'll throw out some dates(hopefully there will be more than just one NS meet so those who can't make it the first time will have another chance)

Any random weekend (sat/sun)

weekends that might have higher turnout rate due to holidays/breaks:

Feb 14-16 (president's day-might be crowded/might not-not that many ppl are going up this year anyways because of the economy? besides, who doesn't like playing human slalom? lol

April 4-12(this is spring break for a lot of people)

Oh, and I forgot to add. Boreal has a group deal if its more than 20 people...otherwise can somebody provide me the name of a Boreal representative here on NS?
 
i think someone is trying to plan an acctual NS day up there, still in the works though

that would be sweet, ill be up at boreal soon, havent been up there for 2 months now sadly due to my wrecked body. loooking to do some spinny do willlers and some twister doowipper flippers on some of them stunt jump ramps. yeehaw
 
Those are like the worst dates possible... I don't wait in lift lines, and hate skiing around gappers. Come on slaughter, make it mid week!
 
Make it friday! Most people, with enough foresight, can make it on a friday. You then also have 'friggen fridays' for us college students.

I think midweek would be bullshit cause there is no way I'm getting up there midweek midsemester.

anyways, I am obviously interested in this ordeal.
 
I would love to make it mid week, but im not sure everybody can make it up there. Dunno about the rest of NS, I think a lot people have school...

I don't think weeknds are that bad anyhow, ii've been to boreal enough even on the holidays there isn't much of a lift line, maybe like a 2 minute wait or something. People should start voting for a certain week in addition to "signing up"

good dates for me are presidents day weekend, spring break, and possibly one of the random weekend dates, depends which though. I think a lot of the NSers would agree to do this on a weekend. But you could still do one mid week if you'd like.
 
I get out of class at 9 on fridays, so I could be there around 11, 12ish. that is like a afternoon,nightish sesh which I think would be cool. We could probably convince shastafarian to come as well.

I will probobly be going to boreal a lot more since the shiest is slacka lackin, so hit me up if you see me.
 
I always ride boreal, so say whats up any day. I'm the only one you will see wearing an all blue HH one piece very day.
 
i m not the one choosing the dates, i am hust trying to give a good ticket deal. you guys can choose whatever day you want.
 
It'd be impossible to collaborate with everyone on a forum. You should just set a date, I'm sure most people on NS ride every day anyway. Just avoid busy weekends and holidays.
 
I spoke with Jon from boreal and the crowds on weekends/holidays aren't so bad...

If I'm not mistaken, most of us are down with weekends.

so what i want to do now is take a count.

the NS meet will be on the weekend of Feb 14-16th.

Probably the saturday of that weekend.

so who's down like mayor brown?!?!
 
Isn't Feb 14th valentines day? Those of us with girlfriends might not get away with that one. Maybe a day that isnt a ball shrinking holiday?

well i picked that not because of valentine but because of presidents day weekend= normally more time to do w.e

it doesn't have to be on the 14th, maybe the 15th?

 
Assuming I don't piss off the old lady, I will probably be having a long night of adventurous sex and champagne, making the next morning a little rough.

though if I mark it down in my calendar, it might happen.

Some of us have a pass to boreal already though. I will put the word out to fellow non-NS skiers I know about this though.

hopefully slaughter can ride with us too. all thanks to him that we can get group rate tickets for those who don't have passes.
 
Or blew it up? haha. I remember to ask anyone that, its always the boring "hey have you heard of newschoolers?" lol

We've had 2 more additions since i updated the list. I'll update the list as we get closer to the first date, I don't want to update the clog the thread every time ONE extra person joins. But ever person counts!

Besides that, has anyone gone to boreal recently? Hows the snow condition?
 
I also have a pass, but boreal is really nice, i went to northstar till 2 then went over to boreal for a couple hours, their jumps are really fun. Not very big but nice lil kickers really fun jibs every were. They were cutting the pipe when i was there and it looks really big and intimidating. Ill be there today with a purple jacket. damn i need to go to bed.
