Let me start by saying yes, I stole this idea from skateperception, but it works really well on there, so Id try it here.
What you are responsible for if you agree to be in this is posting -
Photo #1: Ski/Snowboard
-Anything ski/snowboard related. Pow, park, whatever.
Photo #2: Portrait.
-No need to explain.
Photo #3: Where you live.
-Something about your town/home/etc. This does NOT have to literally be a picture of your house, just something associated with "home".
Photo #4: Whatever.
-Optional, just pick a photo you'd like to share.
Every picture you post needs to have a caption and/or description. Short or long, just write something.
How this works:
This thread is the signup thread. It will be open until next Sunday 12/4 at midnight. If you would like to participate, simply post in here that you would. (Please do not PM me, its too hard to keep track of 2 lists). If we get a ton of them, I'm going to cut it off at roughly 25 people, because beyond that it becomes hard to manage. However if this works well I will totally set up another one again in the future.
You will then get approximately 1 month to shoot. Im thinking 1/15/12 as the beginning of the submission dates. Most of the skateperception guys shoot film and manage to shoot, and get things processed and scanned in that time, so I dont think this should be a problem for you guys. Plus it should land over most folks winter breaks, so you should have time to shoot.
Come January 15, in the order that names were submitted, 1 person will post their submission each day, until we have gone through all of them. IF YOU DO NOT POST YOUR SUBMISSION BY THE END OF THE DAY YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO SUBMIT YOU WILL BE BANNED FOR 2 DAYS. I know this sounds harsh, but this doesn't really work if people dont submit on time. The only exception will be if you for some reason will be not near internet/a computer the entire day of your submission. If so PM me ahead of time and well work something out.
This should be obvious but please shoot new stuff for this. The whole point is to get you out there shooting stuff. By having multiple photos in your submission you should be able to shoot both something you excel at, and maybe something you arent so good at. If you have any questions just ask in here, I may have missed explaining stuff. If you want to participate, just post in here that "I would like to participate in the Newschoolers.com tour of excellence". Also please dont post "Oh I might be down, let me think about it." Think, then post if you are in or not.
