Finding songs is all apart of making an edit, re using a song is weak.

Would have liked it better if it was just the Florence and the Machine song and it wasn't remixed.Also I agree that the skate noise was a little loud compared to the music.

just remember that someday. were going to run out of good songs.

its one thing to take it from skiing and put it into another skiing video but taking it to a different sport its not as big of a deal.

 
i agree with you, but when you are the one who made the edit, it's annoying to have someone re-use your song.

well its in a completely different sport man, half of the songs i see in ski movies can be found in skate movies from years earlier.

i liked that edit, your filming was top notch. but there was a bit too much filler and you DEFINITELY should not have ended on that switch crooks cab out. honestly that revert was so bad it shouldn't even have been put on film, the nose manny shove to manny was way sick tho

And get a fucking quality fisheye jesus, how much did you pay for yours? Cause there are plenty out there that are 200-400 dollars that won't have shitty vignetting.
 
I'm ganna spend 200-400 for a Opteka or something that won't fit my camera sounds good, I don't have a camera with a 57mm lens yet. It's not worth spending 200-400 for a small Camera like I have now.
 
1. Buy a nice fisheye.

2. Buy a step down ring.

3. Use step down ring on dinky camera now then when you have a legit video camera, take off the step down ring and BAM. Weird how they invent things to solve problems, who knew!

I liked the edit overall! I've always hated the whole raw fisheye followcam shit, but I understand that for skateboarders it's the traditional way of filming and it shows a whole line, so i can respect that. the thing that bugged me the most was how loud the skating noise is. it made it hard to hear the song, and the whole point of a song is to allow the viewer to see/hear how the visuals flow with the music, and allow the music to dramatize and emphasize certain shots.
 
he's a cool kid and song jacking isnt bad all the time, but your edit was done so well that i think the song should never be used in any other edits
 
Reusing songs that you see in other edits is fucking lame. Doing it by accident is one thing, but when you watch an edit and go "Damn that was sick i want to use that song!" thats fucking lame.
 
I personally have no problem with cross-sport song reusing. as long as you don't use it for the same type of edit in which it was originally used, fine by me.

and sorry I used that in my reel, at least I used the original as opposed to the kid cudi version. It was an accident, I promise.

On another interesting note, I was recently informed that this song was used in "Come Find Us" before everything else.
 
hey bro, not trying to be a dick, but this song was totally you finding it. TSP and other film companies used it in their fall films, just not the remix.
 
alright i guess your right, but u cant completley call him out for copying you when you somewhat copied tsp. im guessing if u didnt hear it in tsp's movie, u wouldnt of used/ found the cudi version.
