NS right of passage. All dedicated NS’ers must read the OG Chad’s gap thread.

I hope OP can deliver once again in 2022.

Lmao, hadn't seen the thread in forever.

You have no clue.

You can’t just go and hit Chad’s.

I mean the conditions have to be perfect. There’s a reason it hasn’t been hit in 4 years, even by the pros.

You have to deal with the local crews who are territorial.

You have to have some damn good jump building expertise and put in at least 3 full days just to build the jump.

You have to realize that coming up short may very well break your back.

And this is off the top of my head. I’m sure a Utah local could give you an even bigger list of reasons.

And besides…Ski Patrol blew it up.

But he built different so he’s gtg ?

I'll watch and provide rudimentary first aid as necessary, Chads is ridiculous

U should try for the rebate on ur famous switch skiing. I think chads is probs safer than the switch pond skim

Would be a cool meetup at the very least. Give me a date OP, and I'll be there.

I've got room for 2 more on my way from Oregon. I'll go an hour "off path" to pick up fellow NewSchoolers on the way there... Gimme a date OP

Is there a video of this infamous switch skim?

If it’s end of March I’m in

Dear fuck. So. That's not Impossible. But if you came up short. You'd be dropping out of the sky so far.... Also the landing ( the real take off) would be a pocket tranny

Lets get a high powered sled and a tow rope and hit that shit backward like a step up.

even if he manages to build it there is no way he actually hits it if he's only hit a 40ft jump before

he'll ski down and stop immediately before the launch every time

You don’t know him bro

I can't give a date until we know what conditions are. Won't be until the second half of march at the earliest.

That Jamie Pierre. Lawn dart. Legendary

I'm 95% sure none of those lawn darts are Jamie and I am 100% sure the one off the Glory Hole cliff at Alta is not. I can't remember is full name, but it was Rob something.

Also claim, I helped build the gap a 7:28.

Finally, the gap at 8:45 is Leviathan, and somebody needs to hit it again. That shot was the closest anyone (Pierre Yves-Leblanc) ever came to landing it and they had to quick clip it.

The lack of tranny on the kicker would compress my entire body good god

They did, I wish I could remember their full name. They were another legendary big air sender from the late 90's early 2000's in LCC.

Leviathan is a bridge too far for me, I'm still kinda confused about the math on clearing that one

I grew up hiking in that area all the time and it took me like 10 years to figure out where it was because i couldn’t comprehend that the take-off was that far from the landing. The scale doesn’t even fit in your vision when you’re looking at the hillside.
