Newschoolers at school

This school year our school is using a new program which makes students work on a laptop all day. Because of this, the school has unblocked a lot of sites including NS. I've found that since this started, i've spent a lot of time surfing NS instead of working and i'm doing less work now. Does anyone else have this issue at school or work? How do you deal with it?
 
quite simply, you don't deal with it, you let it slowly become more and more controlling of your life until you are failing all your classes just to watch ski edits, it's a vicious cycle
 
yeeeep. i actually chose not to bring my laptop anymore because of this...if thats not an option, you can look for software that can blacklist sites of your choice for a certain amount of time, i think one is called self control. Or just try not to go, i know it's tempting but common, it's not that hard, ski season hasn't even properly started yet.
 
College is about managing the wealth of knowledge of the internet while scraping by good enough grades to get a degree. Good luck

 
There's been several times I've had to request a temp ban from Newschoolers to finish a project/paper.

PM a mod if it's really that bad. They'll be happy to oblige.

This actually! If you need a short break to stay focused on school, (1 day - week) PM one of us and we'll throw up a study ban.
 
NS used to be blocked on my school wifi but I craved it so much so I found a way around that. Install DotVPN for chrome and it will get you around any block.
