Newschoolers App

I believe a newschoolers app would be amazing for people to check NS on the go. I think i can speak for alot of people that this would be very great for everybody who uses newschoolers. You could trade, talk, message, show your skills on the go via the newschoolers app for ios or android. +1 if you would like to see this happen!

There is one, but you can only can only download it from the Donator's Forum.

There was an app for awhile.

Unfortunately, it was just too difficult to maintain. While NS is a relatively large site by number of users, it's still pretty small in terms of its backend team and funding available. And with the site's code constantly changing, it was a problem for the primary developer (@thegreyarea) to maintain.

Maybe someday the app will be reborn. But for now it's just too much.

honestly the one thing I really want to see from NS, is updates to my phone, hell even emails would do

I just want to be notified when someone PMs me, quotes one of my replies in a thread, comments on my video etc

We are currently making the entire site Mobile Friendly so that we won't need to build and maintain individual Apps for every type of device. You'll be seeing the first round of these changes very soon!

I liked the look of the old mobile site better, but the new one has much more of an 'App' look and feel to it, so if thats what people want, then the guys are certainly trying to deliver.

Speed is a result of all the changes being done at once and theres still some server tweaks to be done. Its not that this version of mobile is any slower than the old one.

idk whatever it is its a lot slower than before. WIFi was almost instant and 3G was quick but now its almost like loading the desktop site....

I also have an iPhone 5 and the speed drop was very noticible. Cache was cleared when I noticed it and it still did nothing. Also tested it on my brothers phone and nothing's changed. idk why the new site is so slow.
