how would you define being a new schooler? would you say a mogul skier who puts cork 7's into his run(jonny mosly)is a new schooler? any one who does jumps? Big mountian people (seth morison)?whats your opinon?

here is a difference between a freeskier and a newschooler. Johnny moseley is. If you do grabs, hit park, and rails, your a newschooler. It doesn't neccessarily have to be your preference.

Powderhounds can be newschoolers.

Seth Morrison can slide rails, but his preference is huvking himself off of 80 foot cliffs doing rodeos into giant avalanches

Newschool i think is the progression of skiing on jumps, rails, pipes etc. hence changing the sport of skiing as most know it to be

why try to define everything we do by looking at different style, that's kinda stupid, i mean look at the division between freestyle and racers, they hate each other(sterotypicaly) so why not just say you ski and if you wanna be more specific be like ya i can do some tricks, don't go around goin yo doode, i'm newskool

anyone read that interview with plake in that skipress magazine?? well plake talked indirectly about this, how he thinks that there shouldn't be classifications of skiers, just skiers.. I thought it was somewhat applicable..

-because i do rails, hit jumps, freeride, and i've done backcountry (skied tuckermans saturday, yeah!!!), i just tell people im a freeskier becausei dont race, or do other 'divisions' of rule oriented skiing

i think moseley is way over rated. any nonskier, who is asked to name one freestyle skier would probably say jonney moseley, i know he is alright(better than me), but i dont think he should have gotten a game named after him, although it wasnt very good. i know there are alot of mixed opinions about him, but that is mine
