Newschool Race?

what the fuck is this? i've seen alot of skis saying they're for newschool race and others that say skiercross. is there some new form of racing that's out there now?

I'm not sure what you mean but if you race in skiercross you don't want to ski on your twin tips. there is no where in a skiercross race where you have to go backwads. so you need a light durrable ski to go fast. I have no idea what you are taking about with the other type of race.

This last year Shane Mconkey held a switch GS

Race at Squaw Valley.

Very bad ass :)

As for the newschool racing, I am guessing that execs at ski companies are starting to see the word 'newschool' as marketable.

So by newschool it's probably just a gimmick for 're engineered' ski construction.
