Is this all just a fad? Will there still be skiing as we all know it in 50 years? There will probably be jumps, people jump everything thay can, but whatabout rails? Right now people are dedicating their lives to this stuff, but will anyone know how to slide a rail even 25 yrs ahead?

i bet theyll put snowboard bindings on fat snow blades and call them gay snow blades, mmhmm, thats what our future is gonna look like everyone

yeah dude i think it will grow these are the early days of this type of skiing.....its kinda like how skateboarding was 20 years ago and now skateboarding is everywhere

actually the rate that tempatures are raising is approx 15 degrees per 90 years, I think. I could be wrong, this is entirely off memory.

and whats wrong with a fad anyways? I have no regrets when it comes to the things I used to be interested in. As long as I was happy for that fraction of my existence, I am at peace. Time spent in tranquility is never a waste.

Newschool as we know it won't exist in 50 years. Instead of riding skis we'll just be riding on hover shoes and won't need snow (which is good cause there won't be any due to global warming). Al the major extreme sports such as skiing, snowboarding, rolerblading and skateboarding will combine into one supersport of hovering to take over the sporting industry and throw over the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB and Fifa.

of course its a fad, but people will still be skiing in 50 years if the hills can afford to stay open (the baby boomers-$$- are all gonna die in the next 50 years...)

5 years ago my mum said snowbarding was a fad...I constantly remind her of the ridiculousness of this comment when she says the same thing about twin tips.

It'll change a lot in 50 years. But I dont think twin tips will die out. The style trend will definitely change.
