NEWS YOU WONT SEE ON CNN

I like that article.

The only thing i disagreed with was how the author refered to some things as 'illegal', which is funny from an anarchists view (im assuming the solution is the abolishment of government) because most people dont understand the main foundation of democracy.

poeple are the law.

if you break the law, then the law is wrong.

you are only governed if you want to.

dont let the law stop you from doing anything.

im not some manic who wants to destroy all government, but there is seriously something wrong when everyone is talking about what they can and cannot do because of the law

laws were created to better living, and if you look at like 90% of the laws passed in north america in the past 10 years they do the exact opposite.

My life goal is to make a robot that effectivley destroys land mines. i am going into engineering at college, and once im done, i am leaving north america forever.

There will never be peace on earth, but we can all try.

dynastarconcept...you're completely and totally right i mean those damn hippies what did they do for the world? some fucker in a class of mine asked why we fight back against things even if they seem too immense to oppose. and people ffrom the 60s are a great example. they stopped a bullshit war, helped create civil rights advances and made the world a better place to be. its retarded to suggest that we just give up because something is too entrenched and strong, because in 30 years those guys will be gone and we'll be the ones running this world

'You've got to run like an antelope, out of control'

they didn't stop the war, it went on for year, they fucked it up so much that we couldn't use full force to win it.

These major problems will never fully be solved. Humans are naturally selfish, and the good majority of us either don't realize that we are selfish, or realize it but are so selfish that they couldnt give a damn about helping others. To those of you who realize that there are people suffering immensely and regularly throughout the world and have a heart to help those people, it starts with changing your own habits. Stop buying fast food when you can make a sandwich at home. Don't stop at Starbucks on your way to work or school when you have a coffee maker at home. Just stop buying all of this shit that you don't need.

The next step that anyone can do is to serve. Volunteer at a homeless shelter. Help organize a fundraiser at your school for world hunger. A guy on my campus had a booth set up for tsunami relief and yelled out to the students walking by, 'you don't have to give your money....you just have to give a shit!' Start out small, with things at home. When you see that you are making people happy by your acts of service, you become less and less selfish, and want to help out more with other, bigger causes. Our selfishness is fake happiness. I'm guilty of it, but I'm constantly working at it. When we begin to see that we aren't the center of this world and want to make others happy, we ourselves become happy.

'The true measure of a man is how he treats another who can do absolutely nothing for him.'
-Samuel Johnson
