News story on Gaper Day

I'll tell you what, I give them some credit for properly defining a gaper when they mentioned the goggle gap. Whoever wrote that article must ski/snowboard and know whats up.

I was at a basin today, it was ok, but i am visiting from new jersey so any snow is good for me. I guess I should have waited till tomorrow. I already have to use rentals since I didn't bring my skis, maybe I could have found some funny stuff to wear. Or at least take some pictures of other people.

By the way, I saw someone on loveland pass with a level 1 shirt and I said "hey a level 1 shirt" to them. Was it YOU?

OH MY GOD. This one is so good:http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=135691&provider=top
Higlights include:
"A gaper is a person who drives along a highway and who is gaping at the mountains and slowing the traffic," explained Kim Green, with the Breckenridge Police Department.
-and-
"I do a lot of heckling towards Texas," said "Guy Slim," who has participated in "Gaper Day" for the last six years. "Unfortunately there's not enough states between here and Texas. Therefore, we have to let ourselves express ourselves towards Texas."
-and-
"If they did it to me, I would have a problem," said Elliott Popovich, who is visiting Breckenridge from Florida. "But if I saw them do it to other people, it would be all right."

Also, how was it in Breck? Anyone have any stories? Cops clothesline anyone? Im sure they did, its Summit County's mardi gras and cops lick their chops for this shit.
