I know everyone is getting sick of threads about the hurricane, but I was just wondering, how is the hurricane being covered in the news in europe?

i don't want this to get out too far but i heard ninthward has sex with armada-Twix_182

come to think of it, i actually havent heard any news about any other country except ours and iraq obviously.

 
it's not like that at all.. it's like watching tsunami coverage except there's a superdome. all the families being interviewed are poor and black and the looters are going after DVD players and not food.

Actually there is huge coverage in London.

My friend said it's in the papers every morning and on BBC world news on tv constantly.

This thing is pretty crazy to them too.

I feel so sorry for everyone who's lives have been destroyed by this disaster, and of course i can't even begin to imagine what it must be like but I think people outside of the US are pretty shocked to read that tourists have been targeted by mobs. British people helping medics in the New Orleans Superdome had to be moved to the Hyatt Hotel because of fears for their safety...

I think it's a shame that I had to read this in an article about the events:

"state officials have described the chaotic aftermath of Hurricane Katrina as a national disgrace."

 
If you look on CNN they have a whole article about other countries donating money to the cause and offering other things such as food, generators etc. I know it said that britian, sri lanka, japan and australia had already donated money to the red cross

its being really closly followed in the netherlands because in the 60s they were hit really badly and since then they have feared another huricane so they are watching to see how we handle it

somtimes you just got to take off your pants and slide on the ice
