Freestyle Equestrian? What the fuck is that shit ha the horse and rider just walk and dance to music.. and to think skiing halfpipe isnt in but this is..

 
i saw that equistrian thing on tv, it was on one of the first days the olympics started.

some comentator was fucking getting into it say a ton of crap then he got a score for walking around in a circle for 1 minute. i tried figuring it out but after a minute i couldnt take it anymore
 
haha ya I know its stupid as hell, they arent even like jumping over things like you might think, they really just walk around to music..
 
Sorry, but you guys have no idea about what you are talking about in here. Equestrian eventing has been in the Olympics since the beginning. Grand Prix Dressage is the hardest event out of the jumping and the cross-country. Those horses are amazing athletes along with their riders. There are so many commands. I dare you to try it.
 
My mom and my sister are both into the whole dressage thing. And while I agree it's difficult and I can't do it I don't really see why you would want to do it. It's the most boring sport to watch, ever. There's no speed, no air, and no direct competition.

to me one of the oddest things is that the olympics prides itself on the creme of the creme... where the best of the best come to compete in the biggest event..yet for mens baseball its a joke, cause its basically the best players the havent made it big... anyways just my little rant
 
You think it's boring, but I think it's fucking fun as hell and awesome to watch. It's truly amazing that a horse of that size can trust it's handler.

Oh, and cross-country is REALLY dangerous. Did anyone catch a glimpse on that special they had on ESPN2 last Friday? I've had a horse fall on me once. It's not pretty. I didn't break anything, but fuck it hurt.
 
yeah as big of a joke that sounds, my family is all into horses and apparently its extremely hard to train those horses and shit
 
idk it was like some old lady going to a chinese kite shop then they were talking about a kite war or something like that.

if kite flying gets into the olympics before competitive pole dancing i will kill somebody.
 
since prostitution is the oldest profession, and stripping is its lil sister.....i think pole dancing should be in......or just as another event in gymnastics

yeah grand prix dresage is hard shit. i've never done it but i know trainers who do. its really a sport for people who know whats going on and what to look for, ex: sidestepping stride overtake, riders posture/composure , reponsivesness/cooperation of horse, ect. if you don't know what s going on it looks like dressed up ladies prancing around on her pretty horse moving to pretty music
 
nike and addidas athletes dropped their sponsorship so they could wear that suit so they could compete.
 
speedo isn't the only carrier of those suits... tyr has also made one almost identical.

the suits do help though, A LOT. wearing the right suit is really important in swimming. you don't want shit that drags.
 
You think it's easy to train those horses let along control them and stay on? I would love to see you try. Horses are stronger than you think, even when they are just days old.

My boss's wife has owned horses her entire life and 2 weekends ago she got thrown off a horse and ripped her leg out of her hip. She was so close to dying, just a few days ago she got out of the wheelchair.
 
Yeah, horses are so unpredictable. A couple months ago I got kick in the shin by my 2-year-old gelding. I can feel that It might just ruin my skiing a tad. But my mom, some years ago, got kicked in the jaw, and it broke. It must be fun drinking Thanksgiving dinner through a straw.

Horses are a lot of fun though, especially when they are broke to death.
 
im also wondering whats that marathon where they cant pick up both feet. its so FUCKING STUPID. speed walking. really?
 
All this stuff is pretty silly but its hard to train animals to do such thing, or leanr how to do these stupid sports, I'll support them anyways cause people that don't have talents such as swimming ext can find their own and its what makes them happy and gives them something to fucus on in life, so I'll be happy for thme
 
why isnt downhill mountain biking in the olympics what the fuck it is the most unknown sport but its one of the best next to skiing (to me).
