Newb ski picking instructions

Listen up, I've come up with a good model you gotta look at before you pick your skis.

First analyse your skiing. What kind of skiing are you doing? DO you need a wide for the powder of Jackson Hole, or a park ski for the East Coast?

Then Look at your jibbing style. Are you pushing it in the park on rails, or are you jumping and laying pipe? Or are you just in the park when your friends is?

Answering these questions for yourself, then narrowing it down, THEN DEMO. What I tell you on the internet may not be that same for you on the internet.

how about with bindings? i think we've all seen too many 'i have armadas/lines/publics/troublemakers. what binding should i get?'

there are pretty much 2 companies that everyone will refer you to - rossi/look (they're the same crap) and salomon. pick a pair with the right DIN for your height/weight. most of your questions have probably already been answered so SEARCH FIRST

finally someone did something smart. I wonder how many newbs have been fucked over by some asshole telling them to get skis that are like 5 times to big bindings that sucks ass and boots that are shit

man when i went to a store and told them to centre mount my ski they looked at me like 'what the fuck are you talking about?' i had to show the fuckers. and when u say u want a park ski that will hold up to abuse its always the same answer, theres no ski that will do that. i wanna own my own store

^Sick. It's about time that more shops got out there that now what they are doing. D-Structure is a good start though, awesome store.

Make this into an article if you haven't already. Take all the points in this thread and make them into one article.

not everybody can demo skis, so hopefully those are the people on here posting the 'what ski is best for me'

i know how hard it is since i live in ohio, ive never had a chance to demo aramadas or 4frnts so i have to rely on what people on here say about them
