New Zealand summer job

My buddy and i are looking to take a summer job at a resort in New Zealand next year. Any thoughts on which resort we should look into?

mt hutt? Too far away from everything

Check TC, Cardrona, Coronet Peak & Remrkables for lifty jobs..

Could obviously check snowpark, but doubt there would be much employment available

well it depends what you looking for here. if you want to ski an alright park and go to all the club fields and ski pow then maybe a job at Mt hutt wouldn't be too bad. there isn't that much of a social scene unless you go to christchurch. if you want good all round skiing definetly go for a job at remarks or snowpark for park, remarks has a pretty good park and good big mountain. Queenstown has a great social scene and wanaka has an alright one of that is what you want. heres a link to mt hutt/remarks/coronet peak employment page http://nzski.com/employment/welcome.jsp

my brother worked for nsski.com at remarks, they're not the best employers, but he still enjoyed his job. I think the fact you're working on the mountain kinda overrides any annoying employment issues

work part time on a sheep farm near wanaka, queenstown, their always looking for casual employment

near queenstown...., rainbow ski. looked not to bad. And queenstown is wicked. check out the world bar.... cheap as pitchers.

if you dont mind giving up some of your nights, get a night job at a bar or restaurant.preferably in wanaka or queenstown, they are closest to the best parks(snowpark, cardrona, remarkables)plus have terrain at treble cone nearby and lots of heli.

that way you´ll get to ski all day....plus you -may- make tips, and get a minimum wage of $12.15 an hour i think.....

wanaka has cheaper housing.i´ll be living there this winter, message me and i´ll see if i can give you any more info...

p.s a lot of bars or restaurants will offer free season passes to attract workers.
