Hey guys, just a quick note (sorry to everyone else) - anyone going to be in Wanaka next week, As of Thursday through to the 2nd of September. Myself, PhattBevan, Mashed_Penguin and a few others will be out there for Uni-games and a lot of partying. There's a big air on at Cardrona in there somewhere so it should be sick! Who else is coming and wants to have a huge NZ NS.comers hard core jam session in the park and on the hill??

I'm all for having a blast. I hope there is a decent amount of snow in arcaidia basin too, there are some wicked chutes and drops through there.

From what they boys coming home have said, it sounds pretty tight, plenty of snow, 15cms of fresh just yesterday and last night, so yah, it looks like it's gonna be pretty sick dude, amping for it! and shooters!! haha, the cup of doooom!

Hey do New Zealanders(New Zealandites) Have the same accent as Australians(Sorry, I know you guys are about as fond of Auzzies as canuks are of yanks) or is it like Canada and US where we say words different like roof(CDN: Rooof AMER:Ruf)?

We talk nothing at all like Aussies, hehe. And yep it's exactly like Canadians VS Americans. but probably worse. we HATE the Aussies, hehe, nah not really, but there is a huge rivallry. They have an absolutley terrrrrrible accent, hehe, ours is great! hehe.

New Zealanders have REALLY bad accents. They mispronounce all their vowels, so six is sex, fish is fesh and chips are cheps. So we make fun of them for that!! We have a normal sounding accent thank you very much, don't listen to Tim! And there is a lot of rivalry!

Totally agree. I had a friend from new zealand this winter, and it took me like 2 months to figure out what the hell he was saying. New Zealanders have such a thick accent.

But yah...it's different from Aussis...it's like someone from canada talking to a texan.

Ausie accent... shudder. The last time I was in the states somebody asked me If I was Australian, grrr. When I told them I was a newzealander they said 'oh isn't that part of Austrialia' grrrr.

Its a friendly rivalry thats all, very friendly...

kiwis don't say feeesh and cheeeps, they say fush and chups. my uncle is a kiwi and because i pay him out about his accent, when he gets fish and chips he asks for 'shark and taties'

Yea nah I can't make it down aye. Next year though, might have some airpoints for a quick visit.

Oh and PhattTim bro... some of NZ's 'big airs' are PATHETIC compared to some of the stuff you'll see in the states. Especially Ruapehu.

Ahh! Newfoundland, try the south coast of Newfieland. Alot of the outports have no road access and are totally small and remote. I cruised the south coast in a boat last summer (worst trip/place to go ever) and in most places I couldn't understand the people at all. STAY AWAY FROM THE SOUTH COAST.

HAHHA, Joos, you're so right dude. The Crappy Valley Big Air last year at X-Games was suuuch a joke. You'd nail your face if you even thought about doing a backflip. All the US big airs sit there mock our ones, haha. The one at Cardrona for uni games is gonna be about 30 feet though apparently so that would be sick! Cool brahs, see some of ya next week, and Crash, I'll get back to you on that bro!

The one at cardrona last year was a 30ft table it was a really nice jump too, didn't throw you of balance or anything. Had a nice landing as well, except for the guy who overshot it and axed himself... .

so obviously you've been drinking out of a toilet and have only seen about 3 girls. The girls are greeeeat. Where abouts are you man? You must have a bad region for beer coz some of them are aweful but some are really good. Beat the pants off Fosters or any other Aussie beer.

Timmy, much as i respect Kiwi beer, you chose a bad example of aussie beer. granted, VB and Fosters are crap, but nothing, repeat nothing, beats the pants off a crown lager. crownies are the greatest beer on the face of the earth. too bad it is so expensive
