X games just posted this on thier YouTube, they either just announced this or i've been living under a rock. Personally I am stoked that they have brought in another event after tignes was axed and also am happy to see women's big air. What are your thoughts?
 
You have indeed been living under a rock, don't remember exactly when this was announced, but it was last Winter/spring.

Pretty sure they first officially confirmed it today though. Sucks that slopestyle wont happen because of troubles tv shooting from the hill where that would be possible but still stoked to hopefully watch big air live, just hope that they will be able to get that jump big enough.

I live in Oslo, and pretty sure the jump is gonna be bad... so so bad..
 
Lets hope that slopestyle will be included in the next couple of years.

How big is Tøyenparken? Does it have the capacity to pull something big off?

Pretty sure it got confirmed today. At least Terje Håkonsen posted it on instagram today, and hes been one of the main persons behind it.

I was completely sure that it was a sure thing, but I guess I was wrong. But it's been talked about since early spring.

Nah, it will probably be like a regular in-city big air.

They host festivals there. I'm guessing the jump will be similar to the freestyle.ch jump.

And i haven't watched that youtube vid, are they really not doing slopestyle because filming in Wyller is too complicated? That's bullshit, they've done it plenty of times before. And the hill is literally perfect for a slopestyle course.
 
I hope skateboarding is outside. I kinda want to see all the skateboarders dressed up in like insulated jackets and stuff.

I think that in it's current state, Wyller or Tryvann in general cannot meet the requirements that ESPN have for their broadcasting. However, that does sound a bit weird, I mean if they can broadcast from Tignes, they should be able to broadcast from the outskirts of a fairly large city like Oslo. I'd like to know what the problem with Tryvann is, in terms of broadcasting.

Im always wishing something would come up to compete. That said at this point it's impossible. In the 90s and early 2000's there were a few things going on, now x rules everything.

I know I always say this but seriously.
