i'd say wait for vista 2nd edition so they can work out all of the bugs. knowing microstof there should be many of them to work out.
 
does this mean that windows is gonna work the right way? or is it still gonna shut down for an "illegal opperation"....i guess windows has its own laws and a police force in it.

Vista will also need atleast 512RAM with a 1gig recommended
 
None of the cool shit (and by cool, I mean "apple did it first, years ago") will work in Vista without a gig of ram at a bare minimum. You'll be able to run the OS with 512 megs, but you won't be able to get aeroglass, any of the graphic effects, or the other stuff that makes Vista "better" than XP, at least visually.
 
i dont see anything impressive except different graphics, which are absolutely useless. Just because it looks cool and user-friendly doesn't mean you should buy it, especially since it's from a company that rips off billions of people around the world.
 
right of imovie is garageband (if you meant left, i think it's ichat just with a different icon) and to the right of quicktime is photobooth aka productivity killer.
 
A friend of mine found a beta copy of Windows Longhorn (back when it was called Windows Longhorn) on some torrent site last year. We tested it out on my old laptop and it worked fairly well except that it wouldn't connect to the internet. As far as I can tell it's legit, not just a really convincing Windows skin, but I've never been able to find the installation files anywhere on the internet again. Did anybody ever hear of Microsoft releasing a beta test version?

they need to incorporate msn into ichat, and allow you to send files and use the isight via msn, since microsoft messenger for mac sucks
