New Video pages suck...

The new video pages arn't too bad. It would be nice to get a video preview though. It's still a million times better than when all the videos where in the same section and you couldn't order by categories. I 'd say give it a little time and tweak it a little, and it will be great.
 
What can we do to fix them up? Everybody seems to like the picture gallery, but the videos are essentially the same.

I need some kind of feedback other than just "they suck".
 
well thumbnails for the video section would be completely unnessecary, since all you would see is a picture of the WMP icon

so you should keep it how it was before, but keep the thumbnails on the pictures the same

and also have a SONG category when u upload videos

So the icons in the videos are a on-go aye?

Would you guys like it better if the video gallery was formatted like the picture gallery?

We would still have to use icons for the format since we can't generate thumbnails from videos (yet). There are far too many video codecs in use to make it feasible unless we restrict NS to only a few specific types.

When I clicked on the "Top rated" videos, I didn't see any ratings, I'm I just missing them, or are they not there?
 
Paul, is it possible to go back to the list format for videos?

And why are the top rated videos diffrent from before?
 
I think if you could get the video page to look like the the picture page it would help, and eventually get it so that we can see pictures of videos before we watch them that would be excellent... if not i would accaully just pre-fer the old list back.
 


- make the video icon smaller

- make it so they are not all windows media player icons, if they are quicktime they should have a quick time icon

- make the boxes thinner it is unnessary to have those huge boxes

- having three across is like an array of confusion, i would say go back to 1 per row, or go 2 per row.

- the in the posting section of the the name of the poster is in the middle under the persons post (bad)

-it would be super super sick to have the person icon and posts (etc) so you reconizew the person who is posting (and posibly the quote feature??)
 
it would be nice under myns to be able to choose from lists or thumbnails instead of thumbnails on or off, i think that would have stopped alot of the complaints
