New video page.

wwell they deleted mine so im going to reiterate in here.

1) please turn it back to the list, there is no need for thumbnails for remotely hosted videos. it just takes up room adn the list is easier to read

2) just wondering if theres any way to auto embed.
 
old one. the only new viisible thing i saw with the new was the pictures, but many of them dont have piictures so its sorta pointless and more scorllign and searching.
 
i like the old one better thumbnails are confusing.

but once you click on the video that page isnt that bad.
 
i think the new idea for the video page is good, although alot of the thumbnails for the vids are showing up. i think there working on it so it should be sick once they fix it.

i prefer the old one right now but with a bit of change i think the new one could be much better.
 
i like how the flash window comes up, but the thumbnail doesn't work cause no videos have it almost, then you have to squint to see what the videos called
 
New Page - thumbnails for videos is unnecessary, great thing about top rated is that you have no prior knowledge to video. I'm not sure, but are the video's embeded? All of them? I'm not sure but, thats horrible if they are.

Old Page - just gotta love it.
 
its not like our opinions matter, they will just have a tally of clicks to new and clicks to old. thats why there are no loaded pictures either.
 
I like the old one better. The new one with the thumbnails is sloww as hell for me and it is just harder to look through it.
 
I appreciate you're trying to amp up the vids but i feel the old one is still superior

Thumbnails are great for pics but list is alot easier and more appealing for videos. Possibly add an enable thumbnails or list option under account tools if you're gonna go through with the new one

I don't get the new one when you go to the member video page. The flash window is cool i guess but i would much rather have all videos embedded on the same page like the old one. The related videos seems kinda unnecessary but cool i guess.

 
Yeah there's definitely some issues with the new one right now...

The sickest thing about the new one though is when you get in the groove of watching the flash videos. Embedded right into the page and clicking "Load Random video" and you'll find yourself 20 videos deep in no time...
 
that is the beauty of the video page, you never know what you are getting yourself into. As for not caring about its member, i whole heartedly don't believe that. I know i have been complaining a lot, so to you i'm sorry. But i think changing to a embeded based video page would be a big mistake. Flash kills quality. Or keep both, everyone wins.
 
Lol still needs a lot of work. The more I use it the more I realise its got a lot of bugs still. :)

But hey... thats why we do beta launches!

 
I like the old one better. Mostly because the new one doesn't work very well on my mac. For example the thumbnails don't work and none of the videos embedded work on the new video section.
 
Can you send screen captures of what you're talking about?

The thumbnail problem is that only videos which have been uploaded to our servers will have a thumbnail. We're going to have to add something that denotes "Remotely Hosted" for the videos embedded from Youtube.

We're in the process right now of upping the max filesize, adding a progress bar to uploads and changing the thumbnail images for videos without.

The biggest help from all of you would be to UPLOAD SOME VIDS!

I mean come on... do you want Youtube to have all your shit? Put it on NS!

 
its to hard to look quickly at the videos. i usually jsut scroll down the video page and look for member names that i usually watch their videos. the new page takes forever to look through each title especially if you havent been on for a few days it takes a long time to look through them
