NEW VIDEO PAGE IS TOO CLUTTERED

I must say thats its too cluttered and that its just not that nice.... The "Top Rated" video page is messed up too, You should REALLY consider re-doing this page. Thank You

... Hopefully other people support this as well.
 
Yes yes... and im not just saying this becasue im not used to the new page, its simply not guna work... its to much clutter
 
yeah I think the old way was much more effective, I like that it shows the video type but it was so well organized before.
 
ya i hate the new way here are some tips that could help

- make the video icon smaller

- make it so they are not all windows media player icons, if they are quicktime they should have a quick time icon

- make the boxes thinner it is unnessary to have those huge boxes

- having three across is like an array of confusion, i would say go back to 1 per row, or go 2 per row.

- the in the posting section of the the name of the poster is in the middle under the persons post (bad)

-it would be super super sick to have the person icon and posts (etc) so you reconizew the person who is posting (and posibly the quote feature??)
 
i really dont like the new like little thumbnail things on videos and pictures. it really confuses me

aand half the fun was clicking on the title cause it sounded interesting but then the picture being of something tottally different then what you expected. the previews killed that. then again they're cool because i don't have to look at things i don't want to. mmm yeah it is a little confusing though
 
You can change it in account settings to have no thumbnails but everything is still boxed
 
Hey Guys,

Due to the negative response we've had to the video page, we will be changing it around. It seems most people liked the old list-style better.

We're thinking of an updated listing, like a cross between the old video list and the curren to forums.

Thoughs?

although the work on the new site is greatly appreciated, the video section needs work. The thumbnails are completely pointless, and just take up space. I honestly thought the old listings were much easier to handle. Not to mention the top rated section is VERY messed up. You can hardly find any videos anymore without searching them using the search bar.
 
I really like the new top rated section along with the most recent section. I think the new video section is fine, except the thumbnells are pretty useless. You should keep the sections the same, but just go back to the old format with a list.
 
"The new top rated section" does a horrible job at showing the true Top Rated videos on NS.

It's currently pulling up videos that have high ratings, yet they may have very few ratings and very few downloads. The Top Rated videos should represent videos which have:

(1) A large number of downloads (views)

(2) A large number of ratings

(3) A high rating

The current top rated section does not meet all of this criterion as some videos have very few downloads, and very few ratings.

 
i think the pictures section is amazing with thumbnails. i actually find myself looking at pictures now! but the video page is just too cluttered and shouls return to how it was before...
 
the old one was really ugly and didnt work for me, the new one is okay but it still needs a lot of work, i just want to be able to read the headline click once then see the movie on 1 player. maybe thats just to much to ask for?
