Hey guys, just wrapped up another video!

here it is;

Soldier on // Spring conditions from Moxley Cinema on Vimeo.

Critiques welcome!

Thanks guys

dang those colors looked so crisp and nice and the gliding was superb. Did you mess with your colors at all in post? did you shoot this with a gh3/tokina? critique wise it felt a little too epic to me for only being a park/little jib edit, Maybe a little too heavy on the non skiing shots. The audio was great but (very slightly) at times it felt a little awkward going from no ambient noise to grinding/carving noise. I wasn't a fan of the walking to car/strapping in skis part either, but thats just me. Great job overall though man!

loved it! do you shoot with a Polarizer?

really liked the use of the low rumble/woosh sound that you added for some of the takeoffs.

keep up the good work!

Why do people keep talking about color?

absolutely nothing against zac here, i think what you guys are noticing thats so epic is the resolution he's achieving with the gh3.

shots when you were on the lip and filming them going over your head really didn't do much for me, sometimes skier went out of the frame and the camera often swayed a bunch throughout or especially at the end of the shot. I understand that's a super tough shot to get, maybe try from the side a little more or just keep practicing at it.

awesome work otherwise though! as evan mentioned, resolution/quality was outstanding

Only critique i'd really have is every shot looks/feels the same. Maybe set some sticks up for a shot or two? There are a few shots you really don't use your horizon line. A couple others its obvious you missed a good chunk of a shot but used the shot anyways.

That was sick, definitely my favorite so far. But a lot of the jump shots were from the same angle and it got repetitive. I liked the beginning a lot

This, not noticing much difference(without comparing the 2 at least) between the gh3 and canon colour wise, but resolution wise it's fucking insane.

This has always stood out to me as one of the sharpest videos on ns, still amazes me how good a video it is, It seems as though the gh3 is up there with it, and I'd actually say it's better than the edit, which is rare.

The canon look? If anything, the only look I recognize from a canon DSLR is shitty blues

I like the "wave style" on jump shots, you tilt your camera from one side to another as the the skier crosses the air, the steadycam makes it look very nice and effortless. Actually dude, I truly love the way you shoot these jumps, I'll definitely try to do the same.

Well to be completely honest I preferred the look of DTFs old videos with his 60D over the color in your videos shot on the FS

Downloading this, don't want it to be one I forget about.

Reading the description you said 11-16 and 35 only? I find that hard to believe, seemed like you were shooting way more tele than 35, even for a mirrorless

Keeps the skier in frame that way, only saw one shot that had get cut off, thats gotta be sorta tricky to do

Fuck want a gh3 now. Seeing the difference between this edit and the ones shot with the cannon really makes the quality of the gh3 stand out a bit

its dope theres only 2 shots i dont like in the whole thing

numero uno: the halfpipe shot ( I think its a cork 9 blunt) but his skis and hands went out of the frame and i was like I wish I could see that

and two: this one sequence were you take the first rotation of a dub cork but its kinda hard to see anything but then you cut out to a similar angle of the same (or similar trick)

just personal opinion though everything else was money

at first i wasnt really seeing the song being that good but about after the first minute the song worked great those pipe shots where the best i have every seen!
