I am trying to decide a ski for this season, any help would be much appreciated. I ski at killington mostly, but venture off to jay, stowe, mrg, etc. I'm 6'2'' 160 lbs and currently ride a rossi scratch brigade, which i like but found it a bit soft in the crud and very slow on flat outs. I spend most of my time in the glades, and chargin all over the mountain , i like to go through the park a few times a day as well. so i'm basically looking for something that does it all, and isnt too soft.

k2 extreme i know ther pretty stiff there the same thing as the PE. I have a pair of 08 pes and they handle sooooo good in most conditions whether its slush or ice they handle good and u said maybe something not so soft well here u go the extreme will b pretty nice in everything except u wont b able to throw butters as easily as riding on a pair of anthems or somtin

Perhaps the Line Chronic might be a decent fit? I know it has some stiffness behind it. I'm not sure if it's stiffer than the Scratch Brigade though, maybe someone else who has skied both can comment.

Do you like wide skis, or narrow?

That's an easy answer - check out the new Magic Sticks, Superfreaks, and Twins and www.booneskis.com

i like wide skis, the brigades have a 98 mm waist, i'd go wider if i knew it would hold on hardpack, was thinking of the bridges maybe, thanks for all your help.

I'd look seriously at the Chronic Blend. Might be a great fit for you. It's a little narrower though at 90mm underfoot. Might want to consider the Line Prophet 100. It's a bit more pricy though, but is quite stiff also.

My all mountain ski is '06 Scratch BC's at 185cm and they are super stiff and will blast through everything. I'm 6'0" 195lbs, so I know what you mean about a stiffer ski for ripping all mountain but still dabbling in the park with it.
