New Tricks = Shin Bang?

So I’m not the best skier but I’m always trying to be better always trying a new every run and half the time I’ll wipe out or land back seat. And I always get so much shin bang it hurts so much. Is this normal that like learning new tricks causes shin bang cause whenever I see someone learn new tricks they always land back seat. Some ways I can fix this other then being in the the front of my boot? I always try to be. And can you fit booster straps on Salamon boots? cause the bolt looks weird to get off for the straps.

As far as I know it's just the price you have to pay.

Or you could have your parents spend thousands of dollars for a coach and practice on an airbag at the age of eight.

The shin bang will give way to steeze soon enough

alright well get new boots or be extra aware of your upper body/ where ur hands are when you spin

Don't be afraid to wash out to your hip if you land backseat too. Better to get some snow up your jacket than blow a knee out or get shinbang

Booster straps is the answer. And proper form. Landing in the backseat doesn't give me shin bang, but skiing in the backseat all day had me worried I broke my fucking leg. When I installed the straps and focused on skiing the right way, this fixed my shin bang. Occasionally I'll find myself in the backseat but don't get any pain cuz of the straps.

I think the booster strap website had videos on how to do it, or YouTube does. I have dalbellos and they have rivets holding the strap on. If yours also has rivets, drill out the rivets with a drill bit. Go to home depot and get binding posts that will fit the holes in your boots. Then install the strap. You'll have to punch holes in the strap to line up with your boots. Definitely melt the frayed edges to make it last longer.

Booster straps will help to an extent, crashing, shin bang, etc. is all part of it though, makes it even more gratifying when you lock down a trick though!
