New Trick Tips Video

Hey I was thinking of grabbing a cam every weekend this season and doing a 5-10 min 'trick tips' thing. Like I describe a trick and teach people how to do em. Would anyone be interested in me doing this? I would start with switch 1s, 1s, 3s, 5s and simple stuff like that the first weekend, then go to pipe, then corks and bios, then rodeos and misties and stuff. Would this be cool, or just a waste of time? Also would someone buy them all if they were on a DVD and good quality and basically a whole bag of tricks? Should I have special guests, like dif pros or something?

Any Input would be great. Thanks!

im sure you could get some pros, most of them are really cool. it would definatly help me. just make sure you get dif. angles, slow motion, and really explain it. like a walk through - describe whats goin on as you play the vid in slow motion.

First off cool idea. I think you should start off with easy tricks and then work your way to bigger ones.

make sure you dong just say.....take speed into the jump, set your rotation, spot your landing, drop your landing gear, stomp it, ride away like your nobodys Biatch....cause that is what every trick tip says, and it doesnt help

i would support that for sure. like you know the ones in freeze, they dont help much but a movie could be cool. like a step by step run through would be fat. even some back ground on stuff to do that can help you riding like taking the shoping trollie around the supermarket backwards to help with fakie riding.

Yea. That's a cool idea. If you want to make it properly dont' make it really cheesy or it will suck. Keep it clean, flowing and with a decent soundtrack maybe. i'd definately buy a copy then.

 
Yeah, I'll take it really slow in it. I wont mess up trick names, and I'm thinking about doing em on tramp to for a quick look without skis. What do you think about one slow tramp first, for like inverts, not 3s?

Yeah, I'll get it from diff angles and I'll make sure that not only are they in slow mo, but not hucked so that you can see it smoothly. Anyone who wants to help me out that skis at tyrol in wisconsin or Park City/Canyons in Utah please message me.

trick tips dont help me at all. who thinks about all that stuff when u r upside down in the air?? its all about getting the balls to take stuff big and throw it, and instinct. you just need to know what axis you are on and how to lead with your head and shoulders to come out of it.

One word of caution, you may have a legal liability issue here:

If someone goes out and wrecks themself, from trying to incorporate advice and guidance you've given them in a video, you could be up 'suit' creek without a paddle.

^ thats a really good idea, but it might be cheaper to have just different ns people or whatever that have a certain trick dialed to teach it and film it and submit it or something. like i could definately help with like, alleyoop 7s in the pipe or like switch cork 5s.

i saw the one put out by poor boyz...i pretty much blew dick but if you were to do it real good than it might be cool...and also if your gonna explain tricks say stuff other than the obvious. in the pbp one with mike douglas they tell you the stupidest shit. He would be like ok, now for a 720 your going to come into the jump with a little more speed than a 540 and throw a little bit harder than a 5. i was like no shit. but anyway...if you put it together real good it might be cool

 
i wouldnt use em, or buy em, and they wouldnt help me or most people. youd get the same thing from asking a friend or someone at your park.

i love tanners trick tip on how to do a 'gap to rail' in V9... its like 'approach rail, ollie off jump, turn body, land on rail, slide, come off switch, and ride away clean'.... haha.. its like, wow thanks bro, that helps

Yeah man. Really good idea. A while ago i wanted to buy one...but couldn't find one. It would help tons of people on this site. Even if it doesn't help them do it they will at least know the correct name...hopefully!
