Just finished my pre-trailer for No Hat No Play. After recovering from the banana bar i have begun capturing all my footage from this season and have started cutting. We are still getting some great powder shots in Austria, Dachstein glacier opens on the 10th of may and I will be there to get the last shots before full editing begins. I will be launching the film in Jindabyne in Australia in early August.

did u make that music on garage band? cus it sounds sick
 
yeah the tune is from garage band. i like using my own music. i can make the song behave any way i like so i can make happy songs for fun times and dark music for serious stuff which ads to the viewing experience.

thanks guys, i get funny looks when i turn up to the euro open and pull my camera out of my pocket its so small. guess i just used it right, i worked in a bar at night and filmed in the day all season in austria. I got bummed out by the weather alot this year, its costs an arm and a few legs to make a movie, a few sponsors wouldn't go a stray but until then ill keep plugging away. I wash i had gone to school for this stuff though, teaching myself has been a lengthy and stressful process but my love for skiing seems to keep me on the right path.
is there anything you didn't like about it? and please try to be constructive.
 
I thought the trailer was great, very impressive for someone who is completely self taught. Only thing I have to say is keep using your own music. I love hearing new stuff.
 
thanks guys. hopefully i can try to work how distribution in north america. I dont really go there much i just float between europe and Australia.
 
Hey... really cool trailer... I liked it a lot.

Strange... because from what you've posted, you sound like you work in much the same way that I do. I'm completely self-taught as well... and I only use the video function on my Canon G9 to film. Since you said you were looking for some constructive criticism... I'll offer a bit. Try to learn how to make more complex titles. I have just recently started watching Adobe After Effects tutorials over at videocopilot.net. If you have access to After Effects, I'd recomend watching a few tutorials... they're extremely helpful.
 
except it doesn't make any sense to have all these shots of tons of snow falling, but no pow or freeride shots. i mean, cmon
