New to Washington

I am going to be living in Kennewick or Richland or Pasco for the next year.
I was wondering what is the best mountain closest to me and the approximate driving times? I used to solely be a park skier but 2 ACLs later I am looking for more all mountain terrain.
And what is there to do in Eastern Washington?
Thanks

bluewood would be the closest, but its really really shitty to be perfectly honest. you can make the drive to wenatchee and ski mission, or an hour more to ski stevens

i dont know much about those cities, but since its east of the mountains you'll get more 4 seasons than seattle or portland which is overcast a lot. buuut less to do.

i bet it would only take like 2 hours to get to mt hood though

i know a couple of people who go to white too... you dont have any really good options down there. youre going to be driving no matter what

Thanks.
What about White Pass? I read that they are pretty much doubling their terrain and a season pass is really cheap this year.

passes are pretty good, but i know they're limited this season...by a lot.so i'd get on buying one if you want one.

and what all is actually at bluewood?i've never been and all I have heard is that is sucksfrom multiple people.

So, for driving ease, I am picking either White Pass or Mission Ridge. Hopefully I will make a few trips to other resorts in the area, possibly even a little BC.
Season passes cost basically the same and both have 5 free tickets to each others resorts.
Which one should I pick?

mission has better terrain, and a park that will get you through the day if you really need it. id be more then willing to show you around to keep you out of the park

Sorry to keep adding to this thread but does Mission Ridge only get 200' annually? If that is true then I may just have to go with White Pass purely based on snowfall. Either way, I will hit you up when I make it to Mission Ridge.

all these lines are skiable, and these are the very publicly visible ones that everyone knows about, I have many private stashes that i may be willing to show you in time, just be prepared for some hikes

white pass should be interesting this next year with the expansion. Sooo much new terrain to be checked out. I probably won't be seeing the park haha

this. hopefully tyler can get space for the park out in the expansion too. main thing hes looking for are natural humps so they dont have to build jumps completely off of flat ground.

op, im making a case for white pass: chill local mountain, probably the closest to you, cheap passes right now, new expansion terrain, should have a better park, freestyle/freeride team if youre interested...
