New to the park

Hey guys, I've been skiing for 7-8 years now, and i've finally grown a pair and decided to go into the park. I'm 6 feet, 170 pounds and a very solid type 2 skier. I'm in the market for a new pair of twin tips, some boots and bindings and I was just wondering what you thought of my choices so far. I plan on getting the 07 Line Chronics with 2008 Look PX12 bindings and 2006 Salomon 1080 Foil boots. I mostly ski at mount St. Louis-moonstone and Blue mountain, so I don't need anything real wide for powder. This season, i'll probably be doing a 50/50 split between the park and groomers, but i'm heading out to Whistler during reading week.

My question is: Is this a good setup for all-mountain/park? Will these skis be able to handle some powder, or should I rent when going to whistler and if you were in the same situation (just starting the park) what would you buy?

I have the 06 foil boot its reeeaaalllyyy good is comfy and warm and looks sick id recomend them
 
that sounds like a pretty good setup for what you need. If it really dumps in whistler you can rent. I did the exact same thing in years past (skied the same hills) and I used K2 public enemys which are comparable. hope that helped
 
noob,if i where you i would get somethin fatter than the chronic like line anthmes or armada arvs, idk but somethin 100ish your idea of skiing the chronics then renting ant bad though.
 
do you know where his home mountains are? They get no snow and have no powder skiing. A ski that wide would be useless and a burden (unless you like wide skis on groomers but he doesn't seem to be saying that)
 
i have that exact set-up minus the boots. the chronics are a good all mountain ski...i can rip up the groomers and ski some pow, but im not sure how they are in deep powder...i dont have much powder near me
 
Sorry, for those of you guys not from Ontario, I ski alot in the east, so I'll do powder maybe 5% of my ski time this year, if that.
 
ok, I'm about t to buy the skis now, but when I talked to a guy from my local shop, he said to go with Armada El Rays instead of  07 Line Chronics. What do you guys think?
