New to skiing

Well i snowboard (dont hate) and i'd like to start skiing. What are some good beginning ski's preferably with twin tips for under 300?

You should go to your local shop and see what they have for sale it's the good time and you support your local shop. Also local shops will often hook you up if you buy a whole setup wich i supose you will. So yeah go to a local shop and support them!

If your looking to do park, get some old model Line Invaders. They're pretty cheap.

lines are good to learn on but don't get stuck on them because there are much better skis.

so how big should my ski's be? I'm about 5'10. I'm not entirely sure but when i do my friends backyard setup i always pizza. I dont know if this is from long skis or i just havent skiied before and it really pisses me off. and im looking at the k2 silencers if anyone has some good advice on them, thatd be great.

Steal some rental skis.

And since this is your first year of park, id go for shorter skis, like silencers in the 150s length, or look here http://k2skis.com/skis/factory/silencer , go for the 159 since that would go to your eye level and that's perfect for a beginner skier.
