New to skiing... recommendations?

about 6' .. 180 lbs... ontario but moving out west in september ... im new to skiing but have been snowboarding for 9 years (advanced in snowboarding and new to skiing)... i want something legit that i can progress into... hoping i can pick it up quick...

i have skied before i snowboarding.... so it not like i dont know how to ski... im just new to the new era of skiing

something in the mid 170's to low 180's. pretty stiff. 85-95 mm waist would be good most likely.

i will say line anthems.

maybe look into the chronics too.

check out lineskis.com for a whole bunch of info on their current lineup.

there's a ton of skis out there that could help you start. what's your budget? maybe that can help you narrow it down a bit.

179 public enemies. i know there are so many people that trash talk the shit out of it, but it is a very good twin for starters. id say ride the publics for a year or two then bump it up to something like the tahoes or more of a pow ski, like the hellbents.

Where out west are you moving? If there's pow I would get fat skis, like JJs or something.

AR6s would be a good ski for starting out, don't center them though, you should learn to ski properly first lol.

You could go with arvs because they're more versatile and then you wouldn't be stuck on pow days. Really forgiving too.

thanks for helping out so far ..... what about the k2 disorderly ... i know its not top of the line but its a less expensive ski .... just wondering would it be better to just buy a better ski that would deliver the preformance/ last longer or just get a half dec one and later upgrade
